Significantly better performance with slightly lower efficiency, which translates to significant lower battery life. But at that stage performance probably matter more.

Lunar Lake is like driving an economy car: you get great fuel economy, but not a lot of oomph.

The Ryzen AI 300 generation is like driving a sports sedan in comparison. Less fuel economy, but a lot more go. This particular version ("trim") would be like the mainstream model engine sport sedan.

Its a pretty good deal specs wise. Only minor problem may be the 60Hz display (instead of 120Hz). Other hardware specs are on point here.

Based on benchmarks, the Ryzen AI 9 365 generally comes out ahead of the Lunar Lake Intel 258V by a few percent: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Ryz...596.0.html

Ryzen is significantly better in CPU, but equal-ish in GPU. Intel Lunar Lake (basically any model # ending in a V) wins big in battery life due to having far fewer, and non-hyperthreaded CPU cores. Intel aimed for efficiency and battery life to combat the Qualcomm laptops which were dominant in this area. Intel succeeded in catching up in that aspect.

The AMD iGPU for their Ryzen AI lineup is based on RDNA 3.5. Their latest RDNA 4 architecture and FSR4 are expected to launch in the desktop space within the next month or two. Intel's iGPU is actually based on their latest Xe-2 Battlemage architecture, which launched in Lunar Lake months before launching in the desktop space. Unfortunately, AMD currently has no plans to support the upcoming FSR4 in RDNA 3.5.

365 isn't the cheapest entry level sedan.....370 is what you want at a minimum.

If you only care about efficiency and not max power, Lunar Lake is better.

In your "opinion" when this can be measured and quantified?
