If you were really a fanboy you'd want Microsoft to continue to be competition, because you'll only suffer more when Sony becomes the only game in town in the TV console space.

Ask Nvidia fanboys how their wallets feel with AMD losing GPU market share.

It doesn't seem like there are as many good xbox series X or S deals this year - wonder if they cut production. I bought this same model and bundle for $349.99 during the sweet WalMart deal last year but returned it because I didn't REALLY need a new Xbox. But now my existing one kicked the bucket and I can't find anything close to as slick. Black Friday is coming... so I hope to get somethinG $399 or below for non-military

Lol. I bought an Xbox for $350 last year as well and didn't pick it up cause I didn't really need it. I have the One X which works ok but some of the newer games don't support it. So you have to stream the games and it's horrible

Did the same thing. I ordered and when I started looking for a game to buy, I canceled it. I wanted physical Xbox games and a lot of their first party titles don't even have physical releases, except like Starfield. Everything else I have on PS or PC.

I want Microsoft to compete, but they haven't in 10 years

$100 for Xbox One X or PS4 Pro. Plays COD, Fornite and other racing games just fine. Buy one of each for less than an all digital. That's what I did. Look for an adult owned PS4 Pro and you should be good to go with limited $ down if your lifestyle changes.

Exactly that. Especially with SSD being cheap and easy to upgrade. I have One X w/ 2TB SATA 3 SSD, and I'm looking for PS4 Pro.

But at the same time I already have an Xbox Series X and primarily play CFB 25. None other game interest me. I vastly prefer One X over Series as far as longevity and repairability are concerned

Unless the Series X hits $299, the One X and PS4 Pro really are still a great value. I have to say after playing on consoles since the 2600, this generation has been the biggest disappointment when it comes to games. I have such an enormous collection of games I got for $2-$5 on flash sales that it would take me a lifetime to play. Nothing has come out that has made me interested in dropping $70 on an exclusive or first launch. One X or PS4 Pro all the way if the price is right.

I empathize...Target had the same exact deal bundle last Black Friday (2023) and also returned due to same reason...now I am looking for a similar deal this year.

I am waiting for the inevitable $399 Target deal coming soon, and using my 15% off baby registry code, and on top of my 5% Redcard, wow, that is gonna be a deal!

Even at $399.99 brand new disc Series X is a better deal than the digital Series X $449.

Now it would be interesting to see if the series X digital edition would drop to $399 or less, with or without store gift card, while the Series X disc edition stays at $499.99. This scenario is rather realistic unfortunately.

I really don't believe we will ever see $299.99 series x disc edition anytime soon.

Go the other way, Steam deck or one of the similar decks. easy to pick up play for a little, pause and come right back. you don't have to take up the TV which can always be a challenge if you have others around. I only get Playstation time now because I can put youtube on for my son while I play... (For what it is worth I have Ps5, Xbox X, and a steamdeck, and a okish laptop for gaming)
