Hate to break it to you but I got mine today. The screen is really crummy. I mean bad. Mine has a yellowish hue to it. I tried everything in the Intel display settings to get a decent color but couldn't. They cheaped out on the panel. Had a chance to play flight simulator on it and to be honest, It's not much better than my HP pavilion gaming laptop I bought 4 years ago with a 9 gen I5 and a 1650. The display was a lot better on that one. I'm resetting the PC as we speak and will be returning tomorrow. In my opinion my HP pavilion gaming laptop from 2020 had more quality to it. Back to the old saying you get what you pay for. I'm going back to my Xbox series X where things run smooth as butter.

Edit,: Just to add, I did make sure the low blue light was off and updated the drivers as well. HDR off. Didn't help. Could be a bad display cable. But it makes me wonder about quality control. Hope yours doesn't have the same problem.

Asked around here too. I want to upgrade to 32gb myself too. Walmart's site says max of 16. Has to be dual channel or something? The 8gb RAM models have an empty slot. Dunno tbh.

Try getting it exchanged. Could be a bad unit.

I think I'm going to pick up the 32 gb kit and put it in to see if it will work.. Best buy has it for $60. I am using it to develop courses for GSpro golf sim software. Unity Tests fine but need the 32 gb for the lidar data processing.

It looks like the return window is through January 31, 2025. Wanted to confirm that t means I can use it and see if I'm happy with it until then? Just received one but haven't opened the box yet. Thanks.
I'm eyeing other deals like Dell G15 (with Amex offers and sign up, etc) and upcoming BF deals.

Mine looks fine. Whites are not yellow-ish at all.
Look in device manager under monitors, then look at the properties of the integrated monitor, and find the hardware device ID. Mine is CMN1560. I'm used to nice, bright OLED's, but for the price, this panel is decent for most people.

Opened it and picture is below. Dual SODIMM slots. Unfortunately, HP cheaped out and even though there is a place for SSD#2, they didn't solder a m.2 connector there. Saved a buck at the expense of what could have been a major upgrade feature.

Attachment 16527912

Bad news #2: The USB-C port does not charge at all. It comes with a pretty heavy 200W charging brick and it would be nice to just have a tiny 90W charger plugged in when doing normal non-gaming stuff to keep it charged.

Same. I'm just going to return it. Aside from the yellowish screen it just doesn't seem like much of an update to me from my current gaming laptop. I bought it mainly for Microsoft flight simulator. But my Xbox X is way smoother.

If this is anything like the other Victus I took apart it has two memory slots so you can swap in whatever you want. I put in 2x 16GB sticks on a friends Victus no problem.
I am curious what your friend is doing on the laptop that they need more than 16GB.

I was able to successfully install 32 gb kit and a 2 tb hard drive on this. Looks like I'm good to go. Someone said ddr5 should work but I installed the ddr4 3200 with no issues.
