The deadbolt is smart, but not overly smart. You can setup several codes to unlock the lock. You can setup one time use codes for when you have visitors needing to feed pets or something. You can setup an automatic lock timer so that the deadbolt locks itself after X minutes.
The physical buttons are a plus, as you can still press them with gloves on and don't have to worry about hitting a touch sensitive button.
It is NOT wifi connected. That was a must for me, as I didn't want to worry about future-proofing as well as didn't want my lock to be connected to the internet and vulnerable.
