I tried some weeks ago and instead of Chase issue the card, they sent me a letter saying to call them because someone could steal my data and applied for a card lol.

So, who approve the card in Chase doesn't know Amazon Prime member has to login before see the offer.

I can't understand this behavior in US, phone call has magic powers and still be the #1 "security proof" process.

Same thing happened here - but they sent letter asking additional info and went to bank to submit it and no reply after that. What a waste of time

You do realize alot of people just sign up for the Bonus Money regardless of card right? Whether it be this card or others. Also just FYI if you have a very high credit score then closing this means absolutely nothing.

This deal damaged my credit earlier this year because I wasn't aware of this and ended up with >30 days unpaid on my report. I haven't touched a paper CC statement in over 10 years so I assumed the statements they were sending were CC offers.

Will never do business with Chase again.

Don't expect a good APR, even with a 800+ credit score. That's why I ultimately dropped my card after 7 months of having it. I wasn't even in the bottom half of the APR range!!

agree on the high credit score, but wayyyyyyy better uses than this to fall afoul of the chase 5/24 rules. No way I waste a credit hit that will be on my credit report for two years for a mere $200, but to each there own...
