If you have Chase freedom series credit card, Paypal is within the 5% cashback category this quarter. In the PayPal app, there could also be a Best Buy 5% cashback offer. If you purchase from Best Buy and pay with PayPal, you could get the 5% + 5%.

If this were the M3, I'd consider it at this price. Upgrading from a 2020 MBA M1. I'd appreciate the upgrade chassis and RAM, but the M2 is already two generations behind.

Yeah, I'm torn between an MacBook Air/Pro. Both are more than powerfully enough for my needs. Like the size weight of the Air, but love the Pros screen and more future proofed.

Same with the iPad Air and the Pro, which I'm also in the market for since my 10.5" iPad Pro is not iOS 18 compatible. Upset that I just missed out on that Target M2 iPad Pro deal last month ago. It woulda been perfect for me. 😡

Bet you anything it's not gonna happen this year. The Air is not due for the update until the end of Q1 2025, so they'll be working on phasing out the old M2 until then.

A sweet deal on the M2 16/512 is totally possible though and totally worth getting unless you can wait another year.

I got it at BB a few days ago and just got a price match. If you bought one at BB after November 1st their holiday price match is in place so I think its until late December or so.

What is total warranty if you use costco visa to buy this? 3 yrs or just 2?

EDIT: looks like this benefit is gone but found out my Chase Marriott Visa that I just got does extend the warranty so will be using that to purchase.

I've read that the M2 air is not much better than the cheaper M1 and alot worse than the MBP(which normally is only a little more expensive). At this price is that still true? Would be upgrading from a 2017 MBA.

I always prefer to buy latest generations when comes to electronics. In long term it's always better to buy current generation than a two year old. My 2015 Mac Pro screen died and Apple charging $700 to replace it, insane.
