I'm guessing the Costco one is the exact same, but they changed the wattage from 65 to 67 since any of them could do 67, but by changing that number and giving a new UPC/Part Number resellers avoid price matching.

primarily for size / weight reduction for most folks.
GaN units will be smaller/lighter/more efficient (and sometime more charging features) than their silicon counterparts.
in the case of a laptop charger in the pocket of a traveler - perhaps there is value to a smaller device.
in the use case of plugging in at home to charge a cell phone overnight - probably will never matter (unless you're counting pennies of electricity per year or that it may last longer than another charger)
