Positives: it has a switch, so you do not have to depress a trigger at all, which makes it so less strenuous. Very powerful suction the green laser light. I couldn't imagine vacuum without one now. It makes me vacuum even more unfortunately because it shows me how much dust and lint is on my hardwoods. Battery life is really good on it. I have no problem vacuuming the majority of my 3000 square-foot house. It auto senses extra dirty/dusty areas and increases the suction automatically.
Cons : when you empty the lint canister it unfortunately does not all just drop out very easily. You either have to use your fingers to pull out the big clumps of lint to free it, but I've learned now that use holding down that red empty button I just slide the canister up and down about 6 to 8 times in quick succession and that helps move the dust out. It has a smaller dust canister than other Dyson models, but it really doesn't bother me and I don't mind emptying it for all of the other benefits because the canister is smaller. The vacuum itself is lighter.

I believe the suction rating for the costco dyson outsize extra is 220. That will be 399 for BF.
Im debating b/t the outsize and the v15 from costco come BF. 150AW for this is too little for my needs

Other than that, it's a great vacuum. There's a lot of extra attachments you get can for it too.

She went and read the instructions (still in the box), and apparently, there's a lever on the back of the canister with the number 1 on it. Press that against the canister and the outside slides right off, making it easier to remove the remaining dust and hair.
I say apparently because I didn't look, I returned the vacuum and purchased an inferior model. I will not be disrespected like that.
Jk, I still have the vacuum, and it works great. I'm reminded every time I empty it that I'll never complain about design choices with my wife.
