To the people downvoting this, can you please also mention why ?
Is it due to original post missing any details , or something else ?
It seems to be a decent deal - 250 off.
The $25 per month for the line is reasonable, and should not be adding extra, unless you get a new line and port-in just for the deal. By the time the conditions are met, the phone will be unlocked.
The option to get a gift card for retailers like Amazon, BestBuy, Target seem very practical.
I've previously purchased iPhone during deals from Visible, and didn't have any issue getting the gift cards and speakers, which were part of the promotion then. And the phone unlocked as per policy.
people downvote for no reason.. I said in a deal on cooler the strap could have been longer, got a downvote. Its like the cooler is made for a short person, no longer strap if you're fking tall.

So you can't use with that save24 2 year plan, so have to see whats more worth it to you.
You can always get a burner # and cancel after 3 month

Gift cards are not combinable with the SAVE24 service offer.

Visible service is fine for many people and the price is good, but BEWARE! Know what you're signing up for:
  • They might lose your phone number on port-in.
  • You might be without service for a week.
  • They're known to not pay out bonuses or gift card incentives.
  • If you ever need to contact support, good luck! There's no phone number and support is exclusively through chat. They might respond in a few minutes or a few days. A different person might reply to you every time. If you ever need to be elevated to level 2 support, they'll send you one email from a no-reply email, and you'll have to start over with chat explaining your case from the start for each iteration.
  • Service will probably be fine but you may be in the minority of people that have issues.
Here's some comments from your fellow Slickdealers:

Had an issue with Visible where I lost all service for a few days and support was terrible at solving the problem. Took 8+ hours of constantly chatting. Use a carrier that actually has real customer service.

They lost my number when I was porting in also. I went back and forth with their customer support for over a month and got nowhere. Only thing that got it resolved eventually was filing a complaint with FCC. I have had no issues with the service since getting that fixed, but stories of their customer service issues are sadly very true.

I was a happy user of Visible for almost four years. Quite a deal for $25 month *including all taxes and junk fees*. Until ...

I decided to port my landline (actually VoIP) number to Visible. This is a little bit more complicated than mobile to mobile, so the carrier has to do it right. Ooma released the number right away and it was transferred to Verizon, but Visible didn't provision it in their system.

Their customer support is insane, as it has no provision for maintaining progress on a ticket. Every chat in must start from the beginning. I engaged with them 17 times over three weeks and every call was the same. Half an hour to arrive at the same place as before, only to be told they guarantee it would be done in the next 24 hours. They blamed Ooma, of course, but I pointed out that when you called the number, it announced that it was on Verizon's network. I said "just call it!". They said they had no facilities for placing a phone call. Every chat was torturing with most of waiting for them to type was to have a bot say "We are very sorry you are having this problem," .. wait 5 minutes ... "I will do the needful to get it resolved", ... wait 5 minutes .. "Your satisfaction is our priority", etc.

Yep, dealt with the same issue. It took 2 weeks to resolve. Many hours spent on the phone with their support levels. I found the magical person that resolved it in 30 minutes after many could not.

I lost my number too but since I switched everything has been very smooth. I like the service. But that's a real risk.

Never go with Visible. I live in a major city and had such shit service that it would stop me from being able to reliably provide myself with subway directions on multiple occasions while out and about.

My music apps wouldn't buffer on the subway, meaning it would stop playing between every stop as well.

worst of all, it's nearly impossible to get a customer service rep. when i'd finally had enough and switched to t mobile (family was similarly fed up and we all moved) i kept getting the run around with their chatbot. there is NO customer service phone number, meaning if anything happens, you're completely out of luck. I spent hours upon hours trying to complete the switch because the bot was totally unhelpful.

beware, "same towers" may be true, but same internet speed and same service are definitely not.

I had Visible before they released these plans and increased the rates. That change caused us to have zero service. CSR said it was being fixed and tried several things over multiple days, but never restored service. The issue was documented all over Reddit. Needless to say, after 10 days of no service, we switched back to Verizon because Visible simply doesn't compare in reliability. I was definitely more than patient with them in the switch to the new plans but 10 days without service was a huge problem.

How bad would it be if you lost your phone number or didn't have service for a week? Would it bother you to spend 10 hours resolving an issue? I'd weigh that against whatever money you're saving on this plan.

Maybe some don't care for any of the gift cards.

I always buy my iPhones direct from Apple store unlocked and don't bother with carrier games. But that's just me.

The downside is that you can't combine promotions. You can't get the $5 off the plan and get the $200-250 gift card. I am so close to doing this. Visible makes it so difficult to sign up for service on their app/website, imagine the difficulty of porting out of Visible.

Porting out of Visible is simple, you can request your acct # and transfer PIN yourself online/through the app. I have done it multiple times *looks at stack of Metro iPhones on desk*

It seems like their are plenty of deals on Google, and Samsung phones without a cell plan, but Apple rarely has any deals. It's like the carriers have a monopoly with Apple.

C1 shopping is currently offering $90 cb after 3 months service, seems pretty good once combined with this deal.

YMMV. I only have $28 off on my two C1 cards (VentureOne and VentureX), and I couldn't find a $90 in cashback offer on the C1 Shopping Portal.

This is via C1 shopping, I don't have any C1 credit cards. If you have the C1 shopping plugin installed in your browser go to Visible's website and you will probably get the deal emailed to you in a couple of days.

I chose this option instead of the trade in somewhere else because I lost my phone but had an iPhone 5 lying around. Not sure if someone brought up that they do have a promo that you can combine with this deal to get $100 off of just about any phone that has a pulse.

I also did Affirm financing..

So my deal for an iPhone 16 Pro 256GB is:
$30.53/month x 36 months
+$200 Visa Gift Card
+$100 Credit back
$25/month plan for 3 months

I currently am coming from TMobile $55/month plan and this sets me up for no contract and I can move to another carrier at anytime after 3 months and take my phone with me AND not have to pay for the phone completely up front (Affirm allows me to continue to make payments without the penalty of moving carriers)

Not having a phone to trade in kind of sucked but $100 for a old iPhone 5 that is worthless aint too bad.

Next best was Xfinity which is offering additional monies off for some older phones like iPhone XR or iPhone 7 plus I had lying around also ($525 spread out over 24 months) but I was locked in with them for 24 months or I dont get the full bill credits and also if I move I have to pay off the phone completely at that time.

They also had $45/month cost so not so good.

Going to ride it out a little with Visible till next promo round..
