I bought these Reliants last year in December during a similar deal for my 2012 Accord. I was pretty hesitant as I usually try to get highly ranked tires. But to be honest, these tires are great. They are as quiet as my prior Pirelli Cinturatos. Snow has been rare lately, so I didn't really get to test them on snow or ice. But they are great in rain, and I've been in torrential rainstorms on the highway with them. I don't drive at excessive speeds or very aggressive, so your mileage may vary. Can't say much about wear since it's only been one year and maybe 15,000 miles, but they look no better or worse at this point than more expensive tires did. I will probably get them again if this deal keeps coming back every November/December.

More performance oriented tire. Better dry grip and slightly lower noise as high speed. Wear about the same as the Reliant V. I would go with Kumho if the price difference is less than 5%.

It's a heavy car, so you want to stick with a tire design that's similar to the stock tire. Look for one with a strong sidewall and long wearing rubber compound. EV tires don't last long due to vehicle weight and large torque output. The Kumho KU27 is a better choice if money is tight.

Careful with Walmart tires, the same type of Goodyear tires I got, didn't last beyond 15k miles. I tried to fix it with the warranty and Walmart declined to give prorated new tires because I missed one tire rotation.

Need recommendations on slightly larger Goodyear assurance tire on sale for a 205/50/16. It a 2005 for Ford focus zx3 ses with the 16 inch Rim. The sizing compatibility charts are hard to find. I'd like to go slightly larger and catch a good tire on sale. I was looking at this site but I was not sure of the best alt sizes that compared to the sale for a good fit

From what I understand, not with the early noon ET access. You'll get access with genpop at 5pm ET. But you can buy a one-month membership for $12.95, get early access to the deal and buy/schedule before the herd, and also get the road hazard warranty free (with the $18 installation at walmart). The road hazard warranty isn't worth $40 imo ($10 extra per tire that they charge non + members) but it's probably worth $13. And as long as you are a walmart+ member when you buy and install the tires you have the warranty.

To the extent the internet can be trusted, my conclusion was that if I lived somewhere that I didn't have to deal with wintery weather and had a car with any sportiness to it at all I'd pay $10 more/tire for the Kumhos. All season tires are rarely much good in winter crap but apparently the Kumhos are borderline undriveable in even mild winter conditions. I also concluded that the Goodyears were somewhat better for wet.

Since I do have to deal with occasional winter weather (thanks, upstate NY fam) and live in a pretty rainy area and my car is 21 years old (meaning any "sport" it had has been retired for a while) I opted for the Goodyears. If I still lived in southern CA or even the southeast I'd have gotten the Kumho.

This is only based on my research (and therefore the shared observations/opinions of others) not my own experience. That starts this week.
