Using a CX 48 as a monitor for two years on a IKEA Gerton gave me lifelong floaters. Would not recommend using any 48 inch display as a monitor. Even 42 TV's are pushing it and require a kitchen island sized tabletop (which retail at 39" or deeper. There's not in between for the 30" deep tabletops) or wall mounting with the desk pushed back. Say no to 48" monitors.
