So lets say you walked into the bose store because you needed to buy a pair of headphones and you pass by a pair thats in the box and labeled refurbished on sale for $39 and you say hell with it, I will take a chance and buy these because it seemed like a reasonable deal to you considering a brand new pair was $200. You go to the cash register and you pay for them you get in your car go home and you start using them for a couple days. Then three days later someone at the store realizes the wrong price was on them. Do you think they will come to your house and ask for them back and tell you that they made a mistake? This is what's happening right now. And they need to own up to it. Price mistakes happen in stores all the time and people buy stuff at a drastically discounted rate. No one goes knocking door-to-door asking for the product back. Online retailers should be held accountable. The mistake equals their problem. It shouldn't be the consumers problem. If you as an individual listed something for sale on eBay and you made a mistake on the listing price and sold that item too cheap the buyer would chastise you and eBay would probably kick you off the platform for not shipping out the item or honoring the sales price.
The fact that Bose did not address the issue and offer some sort of compensation to its customers says a lot about the company. This might've been a marketing gimmick right before the holidays. I personally always fight for the little guy. I don't feel bad for the big companies.
Nah I despise the "flippers" who are always ready to leech on this site. This one will probably get called back since it's almost certainly a price mistake (Probably meant $139 and $169). But they've ruined many great legit deals in the past when someone orders 5-10 of an item and quickly depletes the stock.
Getting 2-3 of these to give as gifts is cool. Buying 5 to try to flip is the very definition of rent-seeking. They contribute nothing to society.
On the positive side, the refurb QC Ultra deal ($210) is still very good for what is likely a "legit" price. IMO it's my favorite ANC headphone set currently
oh my gosh, my order was changed as return to sender at this morning I was so much desperated because it was in out for delivery status.
but.. my friend UPS deliver finally knocked door and gave it to me just now!! it feels like a special gift I got.
mine cancelled as well but anyone whining to the FTC or BBB is a dork. this is the game we play with price mistakes, the entitlement is crazy
+100 I really don't get the people filing complaints with the BBB and FTC for a seller canceling orders. Might as well throw your attorney general in there too, since you got so horribly injured. You're wasting everyone's time, including ours for reading about it. Very entitled and Karen energy. And yes, I got my order canceled too.
Edit: I do hope they issue some message, and perhaps a coupon. Just cancelling and ignoring everyone will pull every looney in the bunch into screaming and yelling.

So why do I get the feel someone on bose is monitoring this thread. It took exactly 10 mins after I posted about my order not seeing any movement that I received a cancelation message. Not trusting that to coincidence

They re-routed shipped orders and didn't even issue the customary useless coupon. Very poor customer service. There is no downside in complaining to them and about them.

My order was returning to the sender.
I am thinking about purchasing the $143.10 one from bose website directly, then return it during the "90-day risk-free trial" period.

That's very good! Drivers may not notice the notification in time, or might disregard it haha. Either way congrats.
