I don't care if this was a $1. Samsung has burnt their bridge with me too many times on products failing right outside of warranty. In warranty and jumping through hoops on the washer, refrigerator, and 2 TVs.
Even my S22 Ultra has had issues.

Good luck
Dolby Vision is overrated. This is a great deal on a really nice TV
Please put 65" in the Title.

Was price in-store only or did you find the online "open box" price the same?
Online. Purchased then picked up in-store. Was still in original box, just no peel.

Can you tell gen 2 from the box
Have to get into service menu (using specific service remote or "colorcontrol" app (download) on PC & check ANAPEAK. Whole thread on AVSForum titled something like "Samsung Service Menu"

There is a mod to increase peak brightness so essentially changing S90C to S95C. I have had my heart set on S90D but the possibility of the mod makes me wonder if I should save a few hundred dollars and get S90C instead of S90D.
There's an even better service menu mod to get to 2k nits peak brightness. I have on both of my S90Cs, 65 & 77. Makes it even better than stock S90D/S95D.

Hi, my 2018 LG 55" OLED55C8P has got horrible burn in.

I have 9ft distance, so I'm thinking of getting a bigger 65"-77" depending on price.

What TV's would you guys suggest at 1k ish and under?

I was pretty disappointed with LG and my TV and how I was treated regarding the Burn In. It's been bad for years now.

I play sports video games, and watch hi def 4k content HDR/SDR and sports the most.

I have a Denon AVR-X3400H receiver and nice speakers so sound doesn't matter.

I'm looking at the:

Panasonic W95,Panasonic OLED Z95 if on deal

Hisense U8

TCL QM8

Sony X90L, Sony X93L if on deal

Samsung S90C OLED or Samsung S90D

Got a 65" S90C open box $780 impecable customer return Did the Service Menu hack turned it into a 65" S95C
Check out AVSForum for the 2k nits mod, even better

To my understanding, all 55/65/77 S90D in U.S. are QD. Other countries, this may not be the case. I had a 55 S90D & confirmed the QD panel by using my phone's zoom.
Great. Thanks.

Not for me. It seems to be regional and a lot of areas still have it. Where are you located? I'm in the ATL.

I have 2 LG OLEDs with no burn in and one is from 2016. I played video games, watched news and sports not a hint of burn-in on both. It just seems very random how people get burn in. I think you would be fine if you got another LG. Just get it from BB with their burn in warranty if you are worried about that.

I'm originally from CT and have family still there. There is no store pickup but there is delivery. Maybe BB distribution is not regional but more state driven.

I have a S90C ordered from BB but made sure to have it delivered after turkey day in case anything better comes along price wise,etc.. The lg 77" B4 for $1358 shipped is real tempting for the extra 12 inches...much larger oled...that price is at lg store w/ the coupon code and Amex 7% back but not factoring any additional CB from a site which would be another $150-$210 (or $272 if 20%CB worked) back if it stacked which would make it beyond slick. That 20% cash back is starting on 11/20..
Anyway I digress, what exactly do I need to have in order to hack the S90C? Will the remote work or do I need a specific remote? What is done in service menu? Also what needs to be done to "WIPE" this is it needs warranty for anything as far as restoring it? What benefits will the TV have? I heard something that newer f/W makes this harder to do to get into advanced options or something? Thanks for any info you can provide?

AS a side not for anyone out there... I noticed that on Chase shopping portal , chase is giving 15% CB on the Samung site.. too bad they don't have a good % on LG store as that would be ultimate double dip w/ 5% paypal CB w/ chase and then the chase shopping portal plus chase gives you that extra 1 year warranty...
