Got my Verizon iPhone today. added a payment method on my new Verizon account.
dialed 8008374966 and provided the new phone number
Said "pay off device" when asked the reason for calling and follow the prompts.
Fully paid the 299$ for the device with Automated system without talking with a live person.

Then called in and spoke to a live person and canceled the line.

Last time a bunch of us did this, I believe we learned that the clock starts ticking for the Verizon 3 day cancellation when the phone ships. Thus it was recommended to only buy in store and not for shipping. I was able to buy in store, create account, call Verizon to pay in full and then cancel all within 24-36 hours.

If you're waiting 3 days for the shipment I don't see you getting out of the activation fee.

Yea, not showing a 299.99 price at all - With Verizon, you can purchase your device using convenient monthly payments and trade up to a new phone in 24 months, or earlier if the outstanding Verizon device payment amount is paid in full or, if available, pursuant to the Annual Upgrade Program.

Device Payment 36 mo $8.31 $8.31 $8.31
Full Price $879.00 $979.00 $1179.00

how to order 2? After changing qty to 2, it keeps saying order reached to max qty. It seems like you can order one only.

so, add a new line with this iPhone 14, wait until it arrives in order to activate and then cancel the line before 3 days of active service?

is it limited to 1 new line?

thanks for your help

Just ordered 256gb the 512 shows unavailable… btw how do I pay off right away?
When you activate the phone after you get it, you can pay it off by calling your service provider or paying it off online. With ATT, you can pay it off online.

Did buy ATT? before

When click device unlock eligibility requirements on the unlock page

https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/unlockstep1

Purchased on installment plan, paid off early: The wireless number assigned to the device must be active for at least 60 days. Wait 48 hours after you make your final payment to submit your unlock request.

ATT unlock is conflictingunlock policy saysYour device was paid in full when purchased or paid off through an installment plan. Your installment balance must be zero before unlocking. Nothing mentioned about 60 Day Active Service for Installment plan phones.https://www.att.com/support/artic...KM1262649/but when click device unlock eligibility requirements on the unlock pagehttps://www.att.com/deviceunlock/unlockstep1Purchased on installment plan, paid off early: The wireless number assigned to the device must be active for at least 60 days. For T-mobile, once it is paid off, I call customer service and I can get it unlocked immediately without waiting 45-60days whatsoever.

when is the last time you did this?
I bought an iPhone 13 from them from a promo 2 years ago.
The promo/eip was finally paid off around August of this year.
I called to get it unlocked and tmobile gave me a hard time. They said it was never activated on the line. They were correct. So I got my SIM card from the line I ordered it on, and put it in the iPhone 13. This started the 40 day timer because I kept calling and they literally would tell me the amount of days that the sim was on the 13. The reps would go back and tell me exactly what device was used and for how long. EEK!

can it be done with a brand new account? I get the workflow error with every single color on Verizon. I get the same error with att and it doesn't matter if I select upgrade, add a line or new line
