Govee is my favorite of the cheaper options to Hue that still can sync within its ecosytem. These and all their lights frequently go on sale - normally $60, so this is a bit better. I don't have this specific light model though

Menards has Sylvania 32' RGB "dumb" strip lights for under $4.
Sure, dumb, but I've not seen anything that cheap.

These were really cool when I first installed. After a few months they started falling down and I had to constantly restick them to the wall. Finally pulled them all off the wall there other day. Aannoying.

You couldn't just stick them up with a few command strips..?

or if it's going on the wall - and you really want object permanence - screw it into the studs.

If you had them in a spot where they were unseen, like under cabinets, you could use velcro to attach them. There's also that super-strong Alien [homedepot.com] or Gorilla [homedepot.com] double-sided mounting tape.
