1. Use PayPal to get 7.5% back by logging into your PayPal account and search for promos, select StraightTalk. Will take you directly to StraightTalk site. That's what i did.
2. Chase card has 15% promo but caps at $15 discount, based on other users. I do not have Chase.
3. Purchase iPhone 13 with Silver plan. Must be Silver or higher to get $200 phone discount.
4. Do not select autopay to see PayPal payment option.
5. You can ship to different address if you're gifting it. They just need to understand the terms if they plan to unlock and use elsewhere or just stay with StraightTalk.
6. New phone needs to be activated, through StaightTalk online, for 60-day unlock countdown to begin. Phone does not need to be opened/used.
7. After the 30 plan expires, do not purchase another plan. Use it on WiFi or not at all.
8. After 60 days, phone will automatically unlock for any carrier.
9. Text "UNLOCK" to 611611 to confirm/see countdown.

Edit: Actually, I'm not sure about that. You can't transfer the plan to another IMEI, but if you were to order it and then he activates it as a new / upgrade phone on his own account, that might work and keep the plan attached to the new phone, but activated on an existing line in his account. Maybe someone who's tried that can chime in.
If I purchase this, I receive a 30-day prepaid plan with it.
Do I need to buy another $45 prepaid card for second month to be eligible for unlocking, or can I just use the initial 30 days and wait until the 61st day for the unlock?
