All current Tracfone , Straight Talk, Total Wireless, Simple Mobile ONLY operates and activates on the Verizon Network exclusively. That's cause Verizon bought all of them. So any new phone will unlock in 60 days from ALL of them.

$262 otd to California. After reading 25 pages, here's my summary:

1. Use PayPal to get 7.5% back by logging into your PayPal account and search for promos, select StraightTalk. Will take you directly to StraightTalk site. That's what i did.
2. Chase card has 15% promo but caps at $15 discount, based on other users. I do not have Chase.
3. Purchase iPhone 13 with Silver plan. Must be Silver or higher to get $200 phone discount.
4. Do not select autopay to see PayPal payment option.
5. You can ship to different address if you're gifting it. They just need to understand the terms if they plan to unlock and use elsewhere or just stay with StraightTalk.
6. New phone needs to be activated, through StaightTalk online, for 60-day unlock countdown to begin. Phone does not need to be opened/used.
7. After the 30 plan expires, do not purchase another plan. Use it on WiFi or not at all.
8. After 60 days, phone will automatically unlock for any carrier.
9. Text "UNLOCK" to 611611 to confirm/see countdown.
10. Hope all goes well for us all.

You don't need to do anything. It should get unlocked after 60 days. Some rare case it didn't get unlocked, go https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/wps/portal/ and give the imei (and the phone number you got) and it will let you "reprocess" the unlock request online, if you still can't get it unlocked, you just call the phone number on that web page and they will unlock it for you. With that said, most time it will get unlocked automatically and you don't need to do anything.

Always see these type of deals and scared to ever pull the trigger. I read through the forum on this and still a few questions.
  • Phone will unlock after 60 days, but only need 30 days of service?
  • So can i cancel my service after 30 days and just wait 60 days for phone to unlock? Then no more ties to any comittment?

got my order today. opened up one of the boxes and there's a scratch on the black bezel. called customer service and after 30 minutes and multiple transfers was told to call applecare. Called applecare and made an appointment to go to the store. Went to the store to be told I have to contact stratighttalk because they don't even have parts for iPhone 13 and it will take more than a week.

Called stratghttalk again and 30 minutes and multiple transfers later was given a case number for a return label. Hopefully I can get this returned and refunded!

the iphone 13 I got TODAY was Apple Sealed with the 2 tabs to open up the box. Same as the UNBOXING videos on youtube. Just letting you know what I got.

ok, I got a MAC MINI m4 a week ago, and paired it with this iphone 13, everything went great. I can leave the iphone near the mac mini and it is mirrored to MAC. Nice, so I can imessage and do everything from MAC and it controls the iphone 13. Happy about that feature. I'm a newbie at this, so if I do have problems it's easy to research it and find the answers to everything to get it to work.

From how it was taped/sealed, it didn't like to be sealed by Apple.

The Apple seals are at the top and bottom of the box. They are tear strips that must be removed to open the box. The ST seals cover the sides to hold the SIM card. These were added to a new box.

If the Apple seals are cut, then that is suspect

maybe take snapshots of your package so we can see how your iphone 13 was packaged. I got sealed NEW iphone, go on youtube and do search on iphone 13 unboxing, I did and it looks exactly the same, the straight talk sim was in tiny extra envelope outside of iphone 13 and taped to 13 iphone,

Anyone know how long I can wait to activate? 90 days, 6 months, 1 year? My current phone plan service ends in April and I'd like to hold on to this phone+SIM and activate it in late March.. about 4 months from now. Would that be OK?

I'm dense. If I order this, and I pay for the 1-month silver service, when the phone comes, can I just not use it, and instead pop in my existing total wireless sim card, to keep my old number on this new phone?

That's the new style of boxes for new iPhones these days. The two pull-away tabs are North and South, pulling from left to right. No more clear cellophane heat shrink wrapped style.

You can do that, but that could bring some troubles to unlock. I would suggest you activate with straight talk first and just call forward your total wireless number to this new number for one month.

Another idea: in case total wireless support esim, after you activate this phone with regular sim on st, you also activate on total wireless with imei2 with esim, then actually you can use your total wireless number from the first day and at same time, you also activated it on straighttalk.
