All current Tracfone , Straight Talk, Total Wireless, Simple Mobile ONLY operates and activates on the Verizon Network exclusively. That's cause Verizon bought all of them. So any new phone will unlock in 60 days from ALL of them.

$262 otd to California. After reading 25 pages, here's my summary:

1. Use PayPal to get 7.5% back by logging into your PayPal account and search for promos, select StraightTalk. Will take you directly to StraightTalk site. That's what i did.
2. Chase card has 15% promo but caps at $15 discount, based on other users. I do not have Chase.
3. Purchase iPhone 13 with Silver plan. Must be Silver or higher to get $200 phone discount.
4. Do not select autopay to see PayPal payment option.
5. You can ship to different address if you're gifting it. They just need to understand the terms if they plan to unlock and use elsewhere or just stay with StraightTalk.
6. New phone needs to be activated, through StaightTalk online, for 60-day unlock countdown to begin. Phone does not need to be opened/used.
7. After the 30 plan expires, do not purchase another plan. Use it on WiFi or not at all.
8. After 60 days, phone will automatically unlock for any carrier.
9. Text "UNLOCK" to 611611 to confirm/see countdown.
10. Hope all goes well for us all.

You don't need to do anything. It should get unlocked after 60 days. Some rare case it didn't get unlocked, go https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/wps/portal/ and give the imei (and the phone number you got) and it will let you "reprocess" the unlock request online, if you still can't get it unlocked, you just call the phone number on that web page and they will unlock it for you. With that said, most time it will get unlocked automatically and you don't need to do anything.

Your best chance is remove that active sim, reset the phone to factory, go to ST website, activate , phone from ST, and see what happens, If ST has not registered the active sim to the phone, it may work.

Hey so I was able to get this in store at walmart yesterday for $199 but without needing to get a plan because they didnt know you needed one to get that deal price so they just overrode the $399 price to $199 and scanned all barcodes on the phone. I paid and now would like to know if i need to add a plan for like $10 to activate or are they already activated from purchasing in store with the overridden price. I'm guessing I need to activate online and add any plan to start the unlock timer. Anyone have any experience with this?

You're mot going to find a $10 ST plan. Idoubt it has a plan attached, but go to ST activate, put the imei in and see what happens.

You might be able to activate the cheapest Tracfone plan (~$10) and start the unlock counter. After you activate send 'Unlock' to 611611 to see if it worked.

So it seems that once you've had your order cancelled by ST, that account gets flagged and they will no longer give you the $200 discount.

Is this the $10 "global calling" plan then? That's the only one I see for $10 but it also says it is an "add on"

Correct. It just needs to be activated on one of their plans, then will unlock in 60 days. No need for continuous service for 60 days. Have done this several times.

Should work fine. Unlocking is done in the Apple database. Every time I have unlocked one of these deals I no longer have the original service and just pop in a SIM card from another carrier to confirm unlock.

Ok went to straight talk site, chose activate, entered IMEI and continued to show plans and cheapest plan it shows is $35 bronze. I guess you have to choose that. It also gave the option of choosing an already purchased card.
