This has been your PSA.
1. Use PayPal to get 7.5% back by logging into your PayPal account and search for promos, select StraightTalk. Will take you directly to StraightTalk site. That's what i did.
2. Chase card has 15% promo but caps at $15 discount, based on other users. I do not have Chase.
3. Purchase iPhone 13 with Silver plan. Must be Silver or higher to get $200 phone discount.
4. Do not select autopay to see PayPal payment option.
5. You can ship to different address if you're gifting it. They just need to understand the terms if they plan to unlock and use elsewhere or just stay with StraightTalk.
6. New phone needs to be activated, through StaightTalk online, for 60-day unlock countdown to begin. Phone does not need to be opened/used.
7. After the 30 plan expires, do not purchase another plan. Use it on WiFi or not at all.
8. After 60 days, phone will automatically unlock for any carrier.
9. Text "UNLOCK" to 611611 to confirm/see countdown.
10. Hope all goes well for us all.

Tried to activate my phone today by first entering the IMEI number printed on the box and received a "technical issue" error message. Tried again with an agent and they took the SIM card number from me but then said that the error is that the SIM card they sent me was 4G and not compatible with the phone which is 5G. They are shipping another SIM card but sounds like BS to me.
So, I am wondering if I should try activating again using the IMEI associated with the eSIM. I am afraid that if I use this IMEI and the activation process asks for a SIM card number, I don't have another SIM card at the moment.

The phone agent kept saying the phone now belongs to Total by Verizon, and cannot switch back to Straighttalk, and wasn't able to find I had ordered the $45 prepaid plan.
Also I think their customer service is in the Phillipines (based on accent) and a lot of my calls there was so much background noise you won't understand shit. I kid you not, someone sounded like they were in a car. You could hear the motor and they sounded so far away. Most frustrating customer experience I've ever had to deal with.

-Ordered 2 separate phones in 2 orders (both as a guest user)
-Received 2 phones yesterday
-Activated both at https://www.straighttal
-Used the IMEI only
-During the process logged in to my straight talk account as one of the steps during activation
-Opened the phone(s) and setup with the sim provided.
-Line is active both on the phone and also shows 2 lines in my straight talk account.
-Texted 2 times UNLOCK from the 2 phones and got the message it will be unlocked in 2 months.
End
I placed first order with my name and email and CC went through fine and got all the confirmation and everything, placed a second order in my wife's name, used her CC and email for sale confirmation then next day her order got canceled, said order was possibly placed fraudulently. Placed a second order in my wife's name the next day used a different email and CC since it wouldn't give the discount using the same email as it said the promo had already been used on this account. Order went through then about 8 hours later got a email saying your order was successfully cancelled like I tried cancelling it myself. So thought maybe t had something to do with tracking her name since the first one said fraudulent order, so tried again this morning using my name and different email and CC again and just got another your order was successfully cancelled email after first email showed as order went through.
No one else has reported having the same problem - unless they tried activating on the wrong network.
