This has been your PSA.
1. Use PayPal to get 7.5% back by logging into your PayPal account and search for promos, select StraightTalk. Will take you directly to StraightTalk site. That's what i did.
2. Chase card has 15% promo but caps at $15 discount, based on other users. I do not have Chase.
3. Purchase iPhone 13 with Silver plan. Must be Silver or higher to get $200 phone discount.
4. Do not select autopay to see PayPal payment option.
5. You can ship to different address if you're gifting it. They just need to understand the terms if they plan to unlock and use elsewhere or just stay with StraightTalk.
6. New phone needs to be activated, through StaightTalk online, for 60-day unlock countdown to begin. Phone does not need to be opened/used.
7. After the 30 plan expires, do not purchase another plan. Use it on WiFi or not at all.
8. After 60 days, phone will automatically unlock for any carrier.
9. Text "UNLOCK" to 611611 to confirm/see countdown.
10. Hope all goes well for us all.

He gave me a paper that said if I'm a new customer I would need my email address and the pin (on the paper) to access my account.
"The cooling period of the points will not be affected even you have services or not. The only thing that will affect if the account was not reactivated is the phone number you have.We have a policy that if a phone is not reactivated for 60 days, the phone number will be removed from the account and returned to our carrier."
" your account will remain with us even if you don't use it for more than a year. This is because it will be saved in our database"
Either way. If people are buying the phone its worth a shot. Its a nice deal w/o or with the Straight Talk Reward Points. You don't lose anything in trying it tbh.

Edit: it looks like the chat agents may have been referring to points which are already earned and have been vested with months of active service. Those will still be good for a while after a line goes inactive. But to earn them initially, it definitely requires multiple months of active service.
And before moving the SIM I need to text "ONESTEP" from the new iPhone to 611611.

No one seemed to know who should do the return. Electronics said cust serv, cust serv said electronics. They had me going back and forth 4 times.
Finally someone called and they said return is done in electronics. There was a manager back there and she said they should not have processed the sale thru the WARP system because it makes the returns difficult. She claimed prepaid phones should be sold thru the register only. She is also the one that told the electronics employee since the system wouldn't let them refund the minutes back to my card to put it on a gift card

I got my phone and tried to activate it online as well as the telephone automated system and I get hung up on the part that says pay with credit card or redeem PIN. It appears that the system is not recognizing that I prepaid with 1 month for the silver unlimited plan. Did anyone else have this issue and what was your solution?
Just to confirm the "Redeem PIN" is not any number on my SIM card correct?
Thanks!

And before moving the SIM I need to text "ONESTEP" from the new iPhone to 611611.
The cellphone has not been reported stolen or lost, and there are no indicators of fraud.
Is moving the sim fraud? I have no idea what ONESTEP is.
