3D V cache, adapted from online:

CPU cache is like countertop space in a kitchen. The more counter space you have, the more room you have to place prepped ingredients so they are easy to access while you're cooking. If you run out of counter space, you've got to go and place ingredients on the dining room table in the other room, which takes a lot longer to do each time you have to go place and get it, and you're not cooking while you're getting those ingredients.

AMD is adding substantially more counterspace (3DV-cache) into their kitchen (CPU) so the cooks (processor cores) can keep ingredients (temporary data) in quick reach rather than having to store and fetch them in/from the other room (RAM).

This amounts to significantly faster performance under certain loads, primarily gaming, since the CPU has what it needs closer to arm's reach. This does come at a cost of slower CPU speeds due to increased heat, but the fact they aren't waiting for ingredients nearly as much means they are still performing faster.

Will mostly benefit games, specifically CPU heavy games and in games that are constantly loading lots of assets. CPU-heavy simulation-type game, anything with tons of physics, units moving around, complex animation, ect. Old MMORPGs and base/city builder games are the big winners as well.
I wouldn't wait. AMD seems to have phased out production of the Zen 4 X3D chips so whatever is currently in the market is all that is left. Also, Black Friday is close enough that you can buy now and price match later.
you mean '5700' x3d. the 7600x3d is significantly better

Really good CPU for gaming. It's only beaten by the other V-Cache CPUs like 9800X3D and 7800X3D.

Six cores is a little low, but this CPU is over twice as fast as the 8-core CPU in the PS5 and Xbox Series X. It should be fine for the rest of this console generation at least.

Was thinking of getting the 7600x bundle. What is the difference between the 7600x and the 7600x3d?

X3D chips are the kings for gaming. This chip is really only beaten by the 7800x3d and 9800x3d, although the 7950x3d is technically in there as well, but that's a pretty niche product.

Yea sooo niche they don't even include it in benchmarks lol..

Which means I must only assume that it's soooo good that they don't want to embarrass the other cpu on the list Smilie...

Frown.. Oh well

You used to be able to get this in the pc builder and customize these deals on their website, found this after I got a solid Newegg mATX deal. Just wish the intel deals had the i5-14xxx bundled to swap out the i7 in that deal

Just tried on the PC, looks like the loophole was fixed. I believe it was not using the 'Bundle with it' and going from the 'Custom PC builder' (https://www.microcenter.com/site/...ilder.aspx) and 'Select bundle and save' then modify the motherboard. But both seem to break bundle discounts now.

Anyone have any thoughts on the ASUS TUF Gaming B650 motherboard? I'm not a big ASUS fan in general. I would probably pull the trigger if it was a different motherboard manufacturer. Just not sure I want an ASUS motherboard.
