Why are all the Milwaukee saws built with the blade to the right of the handle? As a right hander I prefer the blade on the left side where it's more visible.

The 6.5" saw is blade on the left. And given how powerful this stuff is, I think the 6.5 is fine for most things unless you really need the slightly thicker cut capacity.

Or at least I hope so…because I bought the 6.5.

I hacked the $249 deal and got the saw only for $139. Not sure if the battery alone is worth $70. Debating on returning saw and rebuying for the battery.

The 8.0 Forge battery is DEFINITELY worth the extra $70

What's everyone think you could resell the saw itself for? Looking to just keep the battery

I realize this isn't a DIY forum but maybe someone can help. I want to retrim my basement for sure, and probably the whole house. From researching it sounds like I need a table saw. Would this one be a good choice? Thanks so much and sorry for clogging up the comment section!
EDIT- Thanks for the replies! Sounds like I need to set up deal alerts for a miter saw. Thanks all again.
You'd want miter saw

Milwaukee rear handle 7" saw has the blade on the left. Not on any great sale right now but if you can wait, they can be in the same price range as this.

the 7 1/4 has a large window so you can see the blade as well. If you are right handed, the 6 1/2 version has the dust port on your side so you get all the dirt vs the 7 1/4 blowing it all out to the other side.

Lighter, smaller, more powerful. Note you cannot hack this deal. The hackable combo is $249.
You can actually. Just add both items to the cart individually, and don't use the OPs link to the combo.
Once in the cart, the discounts are applied and return $ values are shown.

Buy it now, hold onto it and wait until BF to see if a better deal comes along. I doubt you'll find a better deal though.

I'm a lefty so it should be all good!

Haven't actually had a reason to use it yet...but I've got a bunch of garage storage and a workbench base to build so I'm sure something will come up.

I wouldn't mind a track saw, but I just have no desire to dedicate space to a table saw or miter saw. This thing should be enough for when hand saws don't cut it (and the hackzall is too rough)
