Cheaper than last year by a lil bit at the expense of game being free to play. No 1st/3rd party game like spiderman, cal of duty, sport game and such. Lame bundle deal imo but not that important for newcomers
The cheapest PS5 Pro could get around BF is $679.99 realistically. A mere $20 isn't gonna get many folks to buy. Maybe a few but hardly.

What will get more folks to buy the PS5 Pro, bundle w/ game or not, is the disc drive being added as a bundle for FREE. I'll be surprised if majority of folks here disagree with me on this.
This does seem like a weak bundle, no cod when it just dropped is crazy lol

Got to agree. Always leaned towards Sony since PS1. But it seems Sony is starting to get greedy. Not liking some of things they are doing this generation. Selling parts of the console separately. Releasing the PS5 in only white. So you have to buy an overpriced plastic cover in a different color. Then the PRO at $700 + $80 for the drive. Then the stand cost $30.

Coming from a PS3. I'm finally getting back into gaming, this time with my 10yr and 8yr. I was leaning for the Pro, as I won't buy another system for a whole other generation. At what price point would the pro be an instant buy at. If it's bundled with anything? Definitely will need the disc drive.

Is there any resell value in the Fortnite crap? I was considering finally picking up a PS5 this year but I have no interest at all in Fortnite.
I don't play Fortnite. So I'm not an inside guy on this.

On Amazon, 1,000VBucks cost $8. I have no clue if the "8 in-game cosmetics" are enticing to players or not.

Yeah you said it best.

Speaking for myself alone I'm staying with the PS4 Pro. PS5 doesn't impress me enough for the $ to upgrade.
It's a night a day difference if you actually game on something capable of 120fps and load times. I would never go back. You're missing out.

If you want one, this is the one to get likely. PS5 Pro, with a disc drive, is going to cost $780 before tax. And I don't know if there will be many discounts on the Pro.

In May of this year, there was a standard disc model bundle with Spiderman 2 for $450. That's been the best price I'm aware of so far for the slim redesign. I think there was a inventory clear out of the OG PS5, but that's kind of a special situation pricing wise

I still got that jet engine roaring even with a cooling stand. Watched more Apple and YouTube TV than played games on it in the past year.

I'm getting too old sadly to care. πŸ˜”

I got 10% off at GameStop on launch day pick up, ymmv but my local store gave 10% off. 630 before tax.

That is why I rarely ever game on consoles anymore. Once I got accustomed to PC gaming, it's hard to go back to the limits of even the PS5 & Series X.

It's a temp Mfr holiday discount on consoles....maybe there's a small chance that the NBA2K digital slim bundle will get priced at $375 (increased probability that it hits this price if the temp discount window is long enough). But other than that, there doesn't seem to be any leftover bundles lately that you could double dip on savings like in previous sales (or generations?).

Fortnite isn't nearly as popular as it used to be. My kids still play it, so I'm looking for a code or two. But I don't think the codes are going to sell for much

The PS5 Pro would probably have to come in at around $570 (IMO) to be "worth it" and that's kind of on the generous side.

$425 (sale /w disc) + $75 1TB* + $150 (graphics power boost**) - $80 (disc drive***) = $570

Notes:
*PS5 Pro has 2TB vs 1TB which is around $50 to $75
**PS5 Pro looks to be a little better than a 6750xt compared to a 6700 equivalent in the PS5 for current games. That's probably like a $75 difference these days. But adding in PSSR and lets say maybe it's 7700xt levels of power in future games that's maybe $150 in graphics power boost.
***Disc drive is OOS at most places so might be hard to get but hopefully more stock will come soon...but chances for a deal might be slim.

hoping to snag a disc version at Target for the additional 5% off with the red card. I wonder what the chances of getting one are. It's year 4 of the console, maybe I'll luck out?
