Secondly, Cam Lite users were previously able to filter 'person' in the Events tab, but now they've "removed" it in an attempt to get people to pay for Cam Plus.
I had to revert to an older version of the app, install the apk, and then turn off App Updates to get this back.
Wyze are at that point were they are getting greedy and desperate to squeeze money out of their base, now that they've gotten some wider marketshare, to the point of doing some slimy tactics with pushing their subscription in subtle ways.

I did already buy some Tapos as well just not a fan of the 9v input.

Besides Wyze's awful record of security response, I hate having to go to several apps to view my various cameras. I REALLY miss using Ivideon for free and haven't found a great alternative (I've tried a bunch of the "usual" suspects). I'll probably relegate my Wyze cams to non-critical areas (garage, driveway) and build out my Eufy cams.

Ring sucks records too late and has membership.
I tried 4 different Chinese solar cams , they had different apps but behaved exactly the same and the camera quality was excellent and the app and recording was pure trash, not even alpha it sucked big time. It was literally a joke. It started recording late. Stoppwd before motion stopped. Long cool down so it would start recording again for like 5 minutes. Playback was torture of menus to jump through.
I have an old FLIR camera with DVR and is solid , zero fees, instant connection with IP, no annoying cloud , but low quality 3MP , clunky app and wired so it has limitations.
Really need a proper camera that just records when motion starts and stops when motion stops and no annual fee. That's all I want.
