Maybe I just got a dud but it was very disappointing because the screen is really nice

The only weird thing that I've noticed and have seen some others say is that if I happen to touch the screen while it's on, the area of the screen I touched will temporarily display a bloom effect (it glows white), like if you've ever pressed on a TV screen then the light bleed effect dissipates within a few moments. It's an odd quirk that hasn't affected the screen adversely and after a few seconds the screen always goes back to looking completely normal again.
I am using Rocknix custom firmware (since JELOS no longer receives updates) and I always use a USB-A to USB-C cable with no more than a 5V 1.5A power adapter to charge it (the lower end handhelds don't play well with fast charging adapters or USB-C to USB-C cables). It's been a positive experience for me thus far (I paid $60 back when I bought it) and yes - like most reviewers mention, all four shoulder buttons, Start/Select, and Volume Up/Down are quite clicky and loud. The other buttons sound normal, like your average controller, however. I like mine. It has an almost toy-like plastic shell but it's put together well and makes it lightweight. Plus the ergonomics/shape make it comfortable to hold for longer play sessions (I've been playing through Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin for the DS on it lately).

Thus all devices that can emulate the switch cost $150+ in price. (I am sure there is an exception I am not thinking of due to sales / one time one offs). Also these devices sometime emulate switch well but often times less well than the original hardware, and when switch lites are $170 on amazon there is just little interest in switch emulation unless you have a fancy phone you are repurposing. Good Luck
