I think it's 12 beers a gallon. Which still works out to a little over 10 oz

8 pints for 25 bucks is decent to try it out. Lots of decent looking beers, I'm one of the unfortunates who can no longer drink beer but I'm intrigued by this to try the cider especially if I can push it to 7-8%. Thank for the post op

Alrighty, who's tried this? I'm a home brewer, but since I've had kids and remodeling the house, I don't often have the time anymore. Mr beer kits were straight trash and this looks like the same concept in a fancy new package. Is this just as bad?

Honestly if you have any interest in homebrewing, check Facebook marketplace. There's always a ton of people getting rid of homebrew equipment for dirt cheap. You'll be able to get much better equipment than this for not much more expensive. Cool

Sort of... if you are willing to put the time into it to learn. But for someone just playing around on the weekend once in a while this is actually a good deal.

Most homebrewers admit that you aren't going to save any money brewing beer vs. buying beer.
This looks to be a step above the Mr. Beer kits...

I used to make my own wine all the time, but honestly just didnt have the time for the prep and bottling any longer so I got gear in storage.. I saw this deal over a week ago and saw it in the past but it never included the free pinter packs so this is actually a good deal.

Each pinter pack is 12 beers/drinks... I said F it for something that just requires me to pour water + the pack mix it around and store in the fridge I gave it a shot for $50 last weekend. The pinter packs by themselves would have cost me that. I dont drink beer besides the occasional German (hefewiezen) wheat beer, so I stayed away from the beer selection and got one cider pack and was very curious about the seltzer packs so got the peach seltzer pack. The packs are normally expensive but i figure for the cool display and to be able to tap my own I might be okay with the up charge as long as the final product is good.

The box arrived in less than 3 days, but I still have not had time to even open it up. Going to make a batch for thanksgiving and see how it goes.

Oh yeah, I'm not crapping on this deal by any means - just giving people another option if they think they want to get more serious about it. I think most people will outgrow the 1 gallon brews pretty fast. Cool

I've seen some killer deals on homebrew equipment on Facebook lately, I think it's time to scale up my setup.

This first order ships free, but subsequent monthly shipments will incur a $9.99 shipping fee too. In for one for the novelty and you have to CALL to cancel. Rude.

I'm going to give it a shot and then cancel the subscription. Even if it's good, I just don't need or want a subscription. I'm kind of skeptical as to how good it might be, but we'll see.

Update 11/18: I ordered a Deep Gray model on 11/15. There was no indication it was out of stock when I ordered it, but apparently it is out of stock now. When I went to check the status of my order just to see if it shipped, it said "Not Dispatched" and there was a message that the color I picked "is" out of stock. Hmmm, I'm not liking that. I hope they ship eventually. Also, there is a link to cancel the subscription online, so you shouldn't have to call them to cancel.

11/23: I guess it wasn't out of stock, the Pinter arrived after all. It seems to be well-made albeit a little wonky. I started my first batch, a stout. The only issue I have with it so far is everything is by the app which is a little annoying, but the instructions are good overall. Also, cleaning doesn't seem like it will be super easy, but I haven't had to yet.

The way it's designed the yeast is captured by the base, then you remove the base, but for truly clear beer they recommend cold conditioning vertically which would require an empty refrigerator to stand it up. I have a smaller "beer" fridge, but I use it for other things I don't have enough room to stand it up in my fridge.

The process is super simple. Sanitize first, then add water, the malt extract from the pouch, and yeast. Close it up, turn the "fermenting dial" to 5 and allow it to ferment for five days. Then you're supposed to put it in the fridge for 7 more to condition. Put the handle on, and you're done.

The biggest concern of all is will the beer be any good, and the cost of malt extract. The cheapest I've seen other 1 gallon kits is $25. I just can't see doing this on a regular basis at that price. An additional reason I bought this fermentor was for the brewing vessel. I plan to make carbonated wine with it after the two beer packs are gone.

You can cancel online, I did. Also, you can cancel the subscription before you even receive the initial order, so it's no big deal.

Thanks, the online cancel option did present, and work! I was going off the fine print of when I placed the order.
