U7N is quite a bit better. Has local dimming and a 144hz panel. This tv doesn't have local dimming. Has a 60hz panel. But the Hisense is twice the price of this on sale. This would be a decent TV. Just depends on what features you're looking for.

Although the Hisense may boast superior specifications, its durability remains a concern. I purchased a 2019 model (H8G) that unfortunately ceased functioning after only five years. While the picture quality was impressive, the device's reliability was severely compromised.
I have this Q5 in 50" for the bedroom purchased in last blackfriday for 150, only issue I have is a software glitch that enters in a loop forcing me to reboot it, may happen about once a week, overall for a cheap bedroom TV I really think its a good deal.
Spend an extra $100 and get the Hisense U6 on sale for local dimming. Just got one and it is a big big step up from edge lit LCD
Nicely done! Only took four posts for the obligatory, "Just spend $100 more for something else" post. $100 is a big difference to a lot of people who are shopping for deals on budget TVs. Different operating system some folks won't want, too.

TVs are like Microsoft computers now seems like... hard reboot is always necessary.
Hisense is mini led full array local dimming. The latest in consumer level back lighting.
Check out this one for $300. It has full array local dimming but not using the newer, pricier mini led technology. Still superior to the op model, for $50 more.
I hope one day people will be able to truly experience the difference between 60hz and 120-144hz panels. I am, and have always been a low scale employee (money wise) but my stubborn self saved an entire year to get a 120hz panel and I hate to admit it... But it is so worth all the overtime hours, blood, sweat, and tears. Just leaving this comment to get others to at least try one out if you have a console/movies that take advantage of it. Truly breath taking visuals with local dimming too.
I have the U7N and it's a dream. This TCL TV is only 60hz despite saying it's 120VRR. It's a slightly better average 4K TV but definitely not for current gen gaming.
Just a FYI this isnt the last year model of q5. This year model just came out around October I believe. There are no official review out as of now but rtings in the middle of testing it it should be out after Black Friday. As for Q6 this year model seems about the same as last year model but slightly worse. Last year q5 was on par but also better then both last year and this year q6 in some area. So this year q5 I can only guess it should be around the same as all 3 ball park
