Drive to the store and take a look at it first...it might be in excellent condition, or it might be missing everything

Best Buy is very hit and miss on their open box descriptions

I bought a 65" QN800C in " good" condition last month for $699
The box had been opened and retaped ..But the contents had never been removed from the box. Everything was still secured and wrapped in plastic

I ordered it online. Gonna drive there tomorrow and check it out at the store and if it's not good just cancel the pickup or return it.

I have one nearby. Fair. Is this just a decent price or awesome? Assuming good condition. What's it typically on sale for?

Had been on sale NEW for $1399.99 for the last couple of months and recently dropped another $200 to $1199.99 (lowest price BB has sold it for NEW).

If its close to you...go and look at it
First off...their rating system is not consistent. I have bought " fair" that was excellent before
Next..the prices marked in the store are often less than they are online

Is there a way to search for any open box availability in a 50 mile radius or something?

I ordered an Open Box-Excellent TV from BB once because it was advertised as having all original packaging, being in excellent condition, etc.

Went to pick it up, there was no box/packaging. They just wrapped it in bubble wrap, and put the accessories in a ziploc bag. To top it off, there was a scratch on the screen, and all kinds of glue residue or something on the backside of the TV.

I bought an open box "excellent condition" PS5 disc model last month. Opened the box and everything was thrown in a plastic bag, no attempt to package it. Controller had a broken trigger button and console was caked in dust. 😒😳 They took it back but no apology or explanation and wouldn't match the price on any of the other PS5s in stock so I lost out on a good deal at $330.
