7800x3d is a monster for gaming and uses so much less power than 13/14700. I've got one 13700kf machine and a 7800x3d. You can easily feel the difference in heat output in the room when using one or the other (150-200w diff is no joke, mini heater for your room)

I'll be using it for things like CAD and work tasks more than gaming honestly. Does the AMD still make sense?

With how higher the price of the 7800x3d has gone up(also on ebay for resell), you could just take it out and swap it with a 7950x/9950x and you're good for your CAD stuff and also gaming.

Read through the Q&A. It looks like this typically ships with a B650m-a, DDR5-6000 38cl, 850w gold PSU, and gen4 m.2.

Anyone please correct me if they have more in-depth info on specs.
