Tbh, it's basically personal preference between the Bose and the Sony. Both will be a step or two above the Beats.

Bought the refurbished from BOSE for 143$ and received it. It looks like new one and comes with hard case. I received it after 2 days. It is very light weight but the sound quality is fantastic. I feel like every songs sound very fantastic.

QuietComfort SC Headphones are the same as QuietComfort Headphones but feature a soft carry case instead of a hard carry case, and are only available in Black.

So I got these for my wife to use on a transatlantic flight. But she couldn't make them work on her flight. She was connecting with a wire to the in-flight entertainment system but couldn't hear any sound. Just NC. We returned those. But I want to know if it was bad headphones, user error, or a setting? Any guesses?

Today I returned my Beats Studio Pro to Costco and ordered the Bose Quiet Comfort from Amazon.

I found the Beats nice because of the automatic pairing with my Apple devices. I gave them three weeks. Today, prior to a long plane trip over Thanksgiving, I used them for three hours straight. They became very uncomfortable. Okay for short listening sessions.

Why did I then order Bose QC from Amazon for $ 199, rather than pay Costco $ 169.
1. I wanted a color. Got dark blue.
2. I wanted a hard case,
3. I wanted to use my Amex Gold for the extra year of warranty.
Before buying, I googled Amazon Amex promo. A link came up for 15% off, up to $ 100. If I used just one Amazon point.
Also, there was an Amex offer on my Gold offers. $ 1200 points bonus on a $ 150 purchase at Amazon. That totaled $ 27.00 off. My total cost, $ 172.00. Amex already confirmed I successfully redeemed the offer. No problem using both offers. I value 1200 points at $ 12. I recently redeemed 94,000 points for a $ 1,000 Apple gift card. For me, 1,000 points Is worth just over $ 10.

I placed my order at 9:10 this morning, and it was handed to me at 10:50. Less than two hours later.

Other. If I ordered from Costco, a genuine Bose hard case would be about $ 30 plus shipping.

The one from Bose if you buy two you can get one for 108$ without tax. Actual price - (10% refurbished offer + 30$ amex offer + 30$ Bose offer code) . In this 10% you can request after you receive the item. I did the same. Plus hard case

In case anyone is wanting a comparison between this and the Sony XM4, I just finished doing a side by side. Hands down, the Bose sounds much better. The audio is more crisp, the mids come in clear and there's a more 3-dimensional sound compared to the Sony. The Sony does look and feel nicer, as well as having a premium hard case.
