There are several tips discussed on other SD threads about how to "speed up" these phones (uninstalling unused apps, turning animation off in developer mode and setting RAMplus to zero).
The A15 is probably fine as a back up phone and you are not using multiple apps at the same time. At this low price on straight talk and unlock in 60 days, it is a good deal if you need a back up phone for cheap.
June 12-Oct 13 the free straight talk phone was the Moto G Power 2024 edition if you bought 1 month of silver service. Brand new phone (announced late March 2024) on the market, so new that some phones were not auto unlocking in August (60 days after) for Straight Talk forgot to install the unlock server on their end and thus people had complaints for their phones were not auto unlocking as they should. But by early September Straight Talk had fix this and phones were auto unlocking after 60 days again. My personal phone that I bought right before the sale ended should be unlocking in 32 days *so cross my fingers* (took a week and a half to ship the device, this is relevant for I am traveling in christmas so I need internet while traveling)
New Phone deal is the Samsung A15 5g above. Deal is good till Jan 5, 2025 aka a different 3 month period of this will be the straight talk phone on sale, free after 1 month service.
The A15 has less ram, and makes a horrible T-Mobile phone for it has the verizon 5g bands but not both of the two the 5g frequency bands T-Mobile uses (4g should still work though, and it has one of the two main 5g bands.) Frequency Bands for AT&T it has some of the 5g and 4g bands but not all that carrier uses, but also AT&T has a white list problem where only certain phone models work on AT&T and I do not know if this phone works on AT&T due to that whitelist or not.
Good Luck

Do you know if the "Pending remote fulfillment" status comes before or after APPROVED?
the verizon A15 (also tracfone and straight talk versions of the same phone) has the following 5g bands (not going to list all the 2 to 4 g bands)
- 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 26, 28, 40, 41, 66, 77, 78
t-mobile uses 71 (600 mhz), 41 (2500 mhz also called 2.5 ghz), 258 (24000 mhz), 261 (28000 mhz), and 260 (39000 mhz) https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...le-network- the higher the mhz the worse the building and wall penetration. Bands 258, 260, and 261 are meant to be line of sight for they can not penetrate buildings well. Think a sports stadium where the antenna is above you and hundrends of people and it is open air.
- band 41 aka 2500 mhz is good at penetrating some walls but not others. It is a cousin frequency to 2.4 ghz / 2400 mhz that the majority of wifi uses. Aka some areas of the house can get this signal well other areas not well. This is a true 5g band and it is nice. Yet see the next line.
- band 71 is over 4x times better at penetrating walls for the radio frequency curve is over 4x longer at 600 mhz. Stuff in the 600 to 800 mhz frequency is great for wall penetration.
So yes this phone has one of the forms of 5g, but it is not a great 5g phone for T-Mobile for it does not have the main band T-Mobile uses for 5g (the Extended Range band) even if it has the other main 5g band T-Mobile uses (the Ultra Capacity band)I think I was more clear in a different post you did not quote, but I actually misspoke in the one you quote and will go edit.
