The history of getting to maintain access to unaltered digital copies of what you buy is not good when they are served from a company rather than something you have on your own hard drive.

Are these downloadable, or do you have to rely on Amazon to serve the movie to you when you want to watch it?

Thanks. Been waiting for Robocop (1987) edition to go on sale. Bought it on Apple for same price and it comes in 4K w/ itunes extras.

Thanks for filling the comments up with your opinions about the media type and not the movies or the deal. Not helpful at all.

Buy physical only.
I would, but I'd never. I've cleared out too many homes full of VHS collections that ultimately end up in landfills.

I'm fine 'renting' digital media for however long the company exists at few bucks for 10+ years.

Society has a serious ownership problem, ever since the industrial revolution everyone thinks we need to own anything and everything as individuals. The world would be a magical place if only we had sharing economy.

Based on a quick glance, they are almost all, if not all, Movies Anywhere compatible.

Bruh, it's a flat TV with 5-10 watt speakers most of the time.

These are good for people with digital credits. I may have a physical copy at home, but if a digital copy is nice if I ever want to download it for a flight or if I'm ever traveling and want my library with me. Of course I can always set up a server to serve the films to me remotely. But that a lot of effort for some people, and plus…What if the server goes down.

Digital and hard copy media have their use cases.
