I'd buy if it can finish cooking rice within 5 mins.

I am sure it cooks good, but this price is crazy for rice cooker. I have 130$ version and still think it's too much for it. Takes 1 hour to cook 3 cups

Call me cheap! I can't justify spending $500~ for a rice cooker is worth it.

This cooker is $549 at Kohls with 100 cash back with my mystery 30% off. Less if you got 40% off.

I recently purchased a Cuchen pressure/induction rice cooker and it's a game changer. I think I paid 209 refurbished on ebay, so not cheap but not this cost either.

It can make rice in 15 minutes and I've had rice stay warm in it for 3 days so far. Even on the 3rd day the quality is very good. Not quite day one good, but better than my fresh instapot rice.

All that is to say a good rice cooker is an amazing tool. I can't comment on this one in particular but I have no doubt it's a fantastic cooker.

If you want high-end rice cooker either wait for Kohl's deal or just buy it from Japan. The most advanced modal is not available in US, you can only buy it from Japan.

Really? Kinda lot of money- for out for happy hour instead with the money and talk to people
When rice is life bro, Asians don't eat shitty cooked rice. If you know, you know. Not for Westerners cooking Uncle Ben's.

I love my Zohirushi - the $129 one- I guess there is another level.

Appliances sold in Japan are often made to operate at a lightly lower voltage so you have to be careful to make sure it can still work properly here. I checked the specs of this cooker's Japanese domestic version, and it's only specified to work at 100V.

Yeah, made Japan models last forever. Induction heat, with pressure makes the rice fluffy and perfectly cooked. The regular units do ok, but just like fine wine, it's hard to drink Trader Joe's $3/Bottle after getting spoiled on Opus One etc..

Not worth it if you only eat rice on occasion, but Asian households eat rice daily.

$15-ish more for the 10-cup, seems like a no brainer to go with bigger capacity for a larger family

if anyone knows where to buy this cheaper please post. I am not going to buy a used one or a new one at $700+ for a rice cooker. too expensive to pay when everything is so expensive now
