I have been extremely happy with my Surface 7. Very fast. Build quality is top notch.
Build quality? Support? Bloatware free experience?

With all the touch screen laptops available these days, why would someone still want to spend more money on a surface? I haven't kept up with the surface stuff and am just curious.

for $20 more at $799.99, you can get the 512gb SSD version which is a steal (regularly $1200)

The trackpad on this wipes the floor with any other on a windows laptop. Really wish more laptops started using haptic trackpads

I'm wondering how much these will drop. Arm based seems to be a huge issue with these and they are already planning a lunar lake version for next year. If it goes really cheap then it might be worth it otherwise might be better off with a MacBook Air

Is this likely to get better closer to Black Friday or does this seem to be as good as its going to get? Someone predict the future please!

Think this is as good as it gets fit now .. maybe a drop better on the fringe but if you purchase from Best buy as a price match, you get returns until January and price protection until then. seems like a free option as long as you're willing to make the purchase now

please put store and price on title. Microcenter does not offer shipping options for most of their on-sale products so if one does not live close to a store, one literally cannot buy. Thus, I skip all Microcenter posting to try not to waste my time. TIA

Thanks that's a good point. I went ahead and ordered this online from Best Buy with a price match. That gives me 15 days to return it if I find something better.

I got my Surface Laptop 2 (i5/8gb/256gb) from Micro Center six years ago for $899, and it's been a great laptop. That generation had some quality control and repairability issues, but overall, it's held up really well.

Microsoft Surface laptops have excellent build quality, with top notch screens, speakers, and little details like the haptic touchpad and smooth edges that make them enjoyable to use. I haven't found another Windows laptop that matches their design and build quality.

MacBooks are good on paper, but I've had a frustrating time using macOS and iPads.

I'm a bit hesitant to upgrade because I use some older software that might not work well with ARM chips. I might hold out for next generation especially if there is a lunar lake model. Still, at this price, It's a really great deal for someone in the market for a premium windows laptop.

I like the aspect ratio of surface laptop. I wanted the macbook due to aspect ratio and bloatware free, which is the surface but windoes.
