Also, with house branded batteries (Amazon, Kirkland, etc) I figure they will jump suppliers in a heartbeat, or source from multiple suppliers, in order to keep their inventory and/or price levels where they want 'em. In other words, I don't trust the consistency batch over batch.

I've had good experience with Energizer, just bought some HDX AAA (also $15) to give them a try. I do need AA, but torn at the moment over HDX or Energizer.
