We are letting you know about a new protection benefit for your Citi Double Cash account. Starting November 17, 2024, Extended Warranty may protect purchases made with your account. Check out the Guide to Protection Benefits [eccmp.com] to learn more.

It's about time, I stopped using this totally when they stripped it of all it's great benefits. Good thing to have the Warranty back on it, but to be honest, there are a few other cards out there that will give you 3% Cash back for online purchases plus an extended warranty(BoA cash rewards card) . Every Sd'er should have this BoA card as I use it all the time plus it has no fee and great benefits. Also, there is usually a real good sign up bonus as well.. so win/win.

Yes, I like the BoA card too. And don't forget the additional 25%, 50%, or 75% rewards depending on how much money you have in your BofA & Merrill accounts.

Looks like Citicards or could be (World Elite Mastercard) is starting to add back some of the extended warranty perks -- this is for the Citi Double Cash Card (2% cashback all purchases) effective Nov 17, 2024, adds up to 2 years extended warranty:

Supposedly this doubles the coverage period for up to two years. Pretty sweet!
