Heisense disposable tv
why bother w this tv??? spend $200 more and get ths samsung 65" S90c OLED for $999!!!!! It will put these Tv's to shame! plus best rated for gaming as well!
of that two..I would choose the Hisense 75" U7 for $899
65 to 75 is a pretty big visual jump

If staying with 65" I would step to the Hisense U8 for $899
Much higher performing TV

Little bit of an apples and oranges comparison there
But for movie watching in a light controlled room..I completely agree with you
I have both QD-OLED( Sony A95L) and a few mini LED Tv's( Hisesne, Samsung)

As far as LCD..I havent seen this Panasonic...but the raw numbers on rtings.com dont paint a very good picture at all

if staying LCD I would buy the much higher performing Hisense U8 or belly up for the Samsung QN90C , though some people are getting for as low at $600( open box)
Or the Sony X93L or X90L
for overall PQ the oled is so much better! also plenty bright plus you can turn it into a s90d for even brighter with one setting in service menu for free.

On many levels I dont disagree. As I posted before I enjoy my Sony A95L

But its really had to beat an LCD that can do 2500-3000 nits for some situations/viewing environments
Now that they have blooming a LOT more under control I will say I enjoy a good LCD a lot more than I used to
Correct but i am only going $999 to $999 here. if you have your tv facing a wall of windows then perhaps but with that much light interference to the human eye you pq will be compromised in that setting anyways.

Yes...but you are using a clearance product to one that is current year
A better comparison would be the Samsung QN90C in a 65" that some people are getting for $600

This is such a great point: with natural light (wherever it's coming from from) - glare from it will takeaway from 100 or even 90% enjoyment.

No wonder my predispostion for watching TV in dark or darker environments (even my cell phone background uses dark themes) - is much more enjoyable even with my 2013 Panny Plasma.

Do you mean turning S90C into S90D? Because you can't really turn QN's QLED panel into S's OLED panel.

Or do I misunderstand the Samsung's alphabet soup?

THis is my dilemma . Have a s90c on order but I am having thoughts because I dont watch a lot of 4K and I hear the upscaling is bad. But this Panasonic is not really a contender because if I give up the s90c , I will likely go for a 55" for bedroom , keep old tv in living room

It takes an informed person to decide what is important to you. I have a positive view of Panasonic because I had a few good ones back when there were only tube TV's. As long as they haven't sold their name off I would expect this to be a good tv. I do not like that it has a VA panel. Viewing angles will suffer from that. I do like that it has VRR though VRR and local dimming can't be used simultaneously. I was also a bit bummed to see a lack of composite or component inputs, but I believe most TV makers are doing that now.

Lot of expectations when this brand came back to USA and many expected it will dethrone sony and LG. But looking at numbers it is not in the same level as LG but still better than Hisense and TCL.

Too bad I already got a new TV a few months back. I would have gone for this one if I hadn't. I know $1800 MSRP seems a bit high, but the Sony Bravia 7 65" (also mini-LED) is priced at $1800 too, so it's understandable for Panasonic.

Really? Panasonic?
Panasonic made amazing early-gemeration HDTVs. Not quite as good as Pioneer, imo, but clearly top-tier.

Time will tell if these are as good. Personally I'd spend a couple hundred more on an OLED display. But now I'm just starting an argument with the Panasonic People.

Circa 2012 I bought a 55" Panasonic plasma TV I bought for $1200.
We upgraded to Sony 75" but that 55" Panasonic plasma TV still in use today, the colors, the depth and picture quality is still the same as it was on the first day.

I didn't know the Panasonic still in business, I know plasma used to get hot, use more electricity and all, but compared to LED the picture quality and colors much better.
Panasonic should have improvised the plasma technology instead of folding it out, I still like that TV
