The one I ordered last week from the deal below will get delivered tomorrow so I will let you guys know how it went. I did buy two renewed Segways last year directly from Segway and had a great experience. I ordered the two last year (Ninebot KickScooter MAX G30P) for me and my son. I'm getting this one for my wife. The Max G30P has a longer range but this will be good for my wife (G30LP) as they have similar top speeds and this one is a little more portable.
My 13yr old son and I have a blast on our scooters.

No you can take it out of sports mode and kill some power. But it also depends on how tall they are.
