This was $114.99 last November 18 through black friday so this year's $128.99 may be the lowest we'll get.

SanDisk.com has a deal through 11/20 where you can buy two and save 15%. So you can get two SN850x 2TB no heatsink for 220.98 (before taxes) or two SN850x 2TB w/ heatsink for 229.48 (before taxes). Looks like they take PayPal, so if you have a Chase Freedom card you can get 5% back as well. Here's a link to the 2TB without heatsink: https://shop.sandisk.com/products...X0E-00BCA0

Make sure you update the firmware, or you get no 24H2:

They released a firmware update. Might not be on the list but I've experienced it

Please save yourself hours of troubleshooting, and look up the windows update issue with these drives causing BSODS/critical failures. You need to update the firmware (if in safe mode if needed).

I got this price last year and put it in my Lenovo. It's super fast and reliable. Windows startup is less than a second and games run smoothly. At this price you can't go wrong.

How does this drive compare to the 980 pro?

That issue is not relevant to this drive. The problem there is related to HMB. This drive has DRAM. It does not use HMB.

Thank you, it worked perfectly? I have a buddy also looking for a new drive, so we each paid $110 plus tax. Winning!

I would add… the Nextorage 2TB built for PS5 also comes with heat sink and pretty fast with DRAM.. saving ~$19 (and not having to purchase separate HS) buying from Newegg though :/

This drive is DRAM-less. Read the comments in the deal you posted. The Newegg description is very deceptive. They're selling a version with DRAM and without DRAM in the same listing. The model NEM-PAB2TB doesn't have DRAM. The one without the P in the product number does.

This is one of the best drives out there. Great for pretty much all applications. But imho, best in PS5 (needs heat sink) because ps5 requires high speed and no HMB so DRAM will shine. In a computer settings, HMB and SLC cache can work well enough so plenty of cheaper drives will be fine. As for externals, best case of 40Gbs interface translates to less than 5000MB/s R/W, most cheap ssd enclosures run at 10Gbs-20Gbs that should pair fine with any older and cheaper gen 3.0x4 with DRAM.
Are there any good deals out there for PS5 models with heat sink?

The post you quoted was referencing a different drive. The drive this deal is for (WD Black SN850X) does have DRAM.

Heatsink is quite easily available for around $10 and installation isnt that hard either. Sabrent even have one designed specifically for PS5.

also, another poster mentioned a deal to by 2 of 2TB sn850x from sandisk that includes the heatsink version (2 drives for $229.48+tax)
