I LOVE my Q-revo as a bot-mop but its vacuum (at 5500) is pretty pathetic. It has endless trouble with little white dog toy stuffing on low pile carpet, and also sand/grit lying on the tile grout lines. As much as I hated my older iRobot i7 and 680, neither seemed to have any trouble with picking that stuff up. Definitely keep shopping for the Revo; but I would suggest passing this model in favor of the newer version with more suction.

This simply isn't true, at least with this model. The water in the waste tank does indeed get nasty when left for a long time. But it's completely sealed from the room and the rest of the machine. No smell escapes. I've left water in for almost 2 weeks and while it was disgusting, there was no smell outside of the machine.

Folks, the fact that the smell doesn't leak out of the sealed water tank should not provide much comfort.

As one person pointed out, these auto-fill and drain mopping vacs are still in their early generations. Mold can be a problem and is really bad for your health and that of your family.

The clean water tank should never smell. Period. That's the water that's going to go into the robot to mop your floors. You don't want a robot spreading moldy water all over your house. Kind of defeats the purpose. And if you have to empty it daily to prevent issues, then you've got mold growing in the system.

Roborock sells silver ion cartridges that go in the clean water tank, and cleaning solution that you add to the clean water tank when you fill it up. Those should help.

The newest models disinfect and dry the mops before and after each cycle. I have the Qrevo Curv and the dock is pretty impressive. It's only 6 weeks old but the mops and the clean water tank have remained spotless and odor free. The used water tank can get stinky but it's isolated, with the valves at the top, so I just splash a little bleach on the bottom every time I empty it and that has solved the issue (don't do this with the clean water tank!)

Any suggestions on whether to get this or the Qrevo S deal for $414 before taxes? It seems impossible to find out what's the better deal and what vacuum I need with all these confusing naming conventions. I appreciate the help!

QX is older model. S has been updated with higher suction. Costco return policy may make this worth it.

Anyone could help explain why Costco return policy is better? I think it's 90 days free return? The warranty seems to be 2 years. Could we return if it went wrong within 2 years? Or it's just like a normal process to connect with the manufacturer? Thanks !

Robot vacuums are not subject to the 90 day electronic return policy, so you can return this to Costco whenever you want.

You can return it to Costco if the manufacturer gives you a headache for an exchange.

So is it better to get the one with the warranty or the newer one?

Thanks, so I am now debating between Qrev S from Roborock.com or Qrev Pro I ordered from Target...both have 7000 suction power, but pro have some additional "fancy" features that I dont think worth $150 more...

One complaint I have (and I see others online) is that the cold water mopping smells like death if you don't empty the bucket immediately after every use. Idk if newer hot water models fixed that but if so I may return and replace.

totally, it smells like warm wet feet.
I make it a point to empty mine every day and over time (with daily mopping) the water tends to get less and less dirty.
