This might be posted in different ways. I just feel I need to post it specifically for your convenience.

How to do: Activate your 5% quarterly cashback from your chase cards (any) and link it to your paypal. Add 5% walmart and best buy cash back from paypal offers. You are good to get 10% back in total when you shop from Walmart or best Buy.
There are two deals combo:
1. 5% cash back from Chase cards if you pay with Paypal ($1500 limit each card), expired 12/31.
2. 5% cash back from Paypal if you add walmart or Bestbuy cash back offers. (PS.: Whenever you add it, you have 7 days to use it, so you might add it before you are ready to buy; After one use, you need to add it again. expired 01/7/2025.

I got Ebay gift cards from BestBuy and it successfully give me 10% back total. Then I can add Bestbuy offer again to my offer and buy more!
Good for the shopping season!

I purchased $1000 of physical WMT gift cards activating the Paypal offer (5%) and Chase (5% quarterly category). Chase bonus worked but the PayPal offer is 45 days out and still listed as pending. PayPal states it can take up to 90 days for the credit, but I'm doubtful it's going to work. The offer states "Store exclusions apply" (which are not defined). Just a word of caution expecting to get 10% off Walmart gift cards.

Also purchased a $100 Amazon gift card online at Best Buy as a test. PayPal and Chase both credited 5% each within a week. An easy way to get 10% off Amazon.
You need to go to your subscriptions/pre-approved payments in your paypal account. Remove the perms/defaults for best buy. Those vendor specific payment settings (which you probably unintentionally set during a past paypal checkout) override your general wallet defaults.
One thing you guys will want to consider (especially for high priced electronics), is that Chase provides an extra year of warranty. You lose that if you pay with gift cards.

Are you familiar with how that works with extended warranties? If I bought one, does the CC coverage tack on to end of extended warranty?
If you have a 3 year warranty , you get a 4th I think but anything over 3 does not get a 4th - (with Visa) AMEX may have a little more lenient rules

you can also use 3rd party cashback websites too right? I think I saw a 10% for bb but then again chase would be a better option for sure.
why would Chase be better option? I have CB offer from Cap One Portal for 10%

Even if it's a partial payment and still do some with the credit card?
I am pretty sure if you buy a TV for $500 and you spend $400 on Chase and $100 gift card and you file a valid warranty claim in the extra year, Chase will reimburese you the $400 not $500

If you purchase said TV at BB for $500 and paid $100 extra for 5 yr warranty from Best Buy and still used a $100 or more vs gift cards, TV would be covered in full but of course you would never get the $100 back you paid for warranty

As a side note: remember not to let Paypal points expire , I think that has happened to me in the past

I compared chase vs cb sites like starting with letter R. chase points should be better and taking the money to the your account also should be easier.
cant compare with different banks though as i do not have experience with cap one.

Ok, I guess it might be easier to dispute if you dont get it if its same company. By Cap One, dont mean the bank, I mean the shopping extension (actually owned by a different company that licenses their name)

Has anyone confirmed the chase points will post when buying the digital amazon gift card at best buy? I see that gift card purchases are listed on the exclusion list on the chase portal.

So the Cap One shopping extension does not requires Cap One card to be used for cash back?

Apparently using Paypal is not an option on walmart.com for e-gift cards electronically delivered, only physical gift cards mailed. I'm hesitant to have $1500 of gift cards mailed.

Mine was stolen by the carrier in a previous deal. They actually delivered a ripped open envelope to me. SMH

If we purchase any laptop using this (Paypal + chase) combo, does this gives additonal 1 year warranty like other credit cards ?

My order on WM got cancelled. Got a Chase fraud alert, cleared it but now orders keep getting canceled when using paypal. And Paypal keeps trying to charge my checking rather than the CC on file and saved for WM payment on the reserved CCs for the merchant. Any prefered payment method. anyone got ideas on why this is happening?
Check paypal automatic payments section, it stupidly overrides your preferred payment method with whatever is saved for that merchant in that section. Also, new cards I add often don't show up for a day as a payment option

PayPal is a third-party processor and would be considered an intermediary between retailer and your bank. You're welcome to try, but it hasn't worked in the several years this offer has been around. Worst case scenario, you could always return the item though. Please let me know if it actually works though. That would be a nice change.
it's 2024, not 2004. PayPal is not an intermediary between the retailer and your bank. You don't pay Paypal and then Paypal pays the retailer, that's not how it works. Paypal is an online payment processor not much different than visa or mc. Works fine with Amex offers.

So add Paypal to walmart pay and pay in store with Walmart Pay. I thought there was a limit on the transaction size if you go this route. Were you able to do 1K in a single trans? I'm thinking VGC./MCGC would then also be options.
I don't think paypal works in store via WM pay, just works for online orders. Am I wrong on this?
