Your quote "...but you have to wait 12 months to use it on att or T-Mobile?" : Do you understand the meaning of "unlock" phone? Unlock phone is the phone is not tied to any phone carrier. Why the unlock phone have to wait for any period of time before it can be used in any carrier. LOL
