This IS the price of a "premium Chromebook" and a lot more powerful. But I know you're just trolling so my response is for people that care.
$473 Open Box Excellent available for shipping. Almost worth it as the Asus 3K 120Hz OLED panel is amazing and all this for under $500 is pretty decent (despite the compatibility trade-offs).

Might be in for one!

UPDATE: I bit on the OB Excellent for $473. Great specs, including WIFI 7, ultra thin and light and that OLED!
Premium chromebooks that are much cheaper than this are getting fewer and further between. And that's not even factoring in Google practically forgetting Chrome OS even exists these days.

How does this compare to Lenovo Yoga 7 that was posted a few days ago?

I bought that Sunday night. Wondering if I should exchange it.

got an open box excellence at my local bestbuy, will keep it if it's good enough for using as web browsing and light documents writing.

Close to being worth it.... to get Linux support on this platform vs running Windows ARMs

Wow. These prices are finally getting good for how little gpu power these have. Premium Chromebook price is much more appropriate

If they abandon chrome OS, do NOT be surprised. It'd be par for the course. Bonus points if the lead/senior engineer leading the charge on this product lineup is some fresh face none of us have ever heard of who is just throwing chrome OS under the bus just to chase a job offer at Apple or somewhere else.
