If you're on the fence about an ultrawide or if you're trying to pick up something for office work, just get this one and ignore the haters if they pop up in this thread.

Is it going to compete with a Samsung OLED? No. Is it going to compete with the LG top end 34" ultrawide? No.

Is it the best ultrawide you're gonna get at $155 and be WAY BETTER than your 1080p 60hz 27" monitor you've had for 5 years? You betcha.

I bought 8 of these for my employees in IT a year ago, and they've been fantastic. Had one of them show up busted, but it was an easy return. They are a little dim out of the box, but it's because they're in some sort of low power mode.

Could not recommend more at this price point.

I just couldn't get used to the oddness of a 32 inch ultrawide curved monitor, and went back to 2 seperate 27 inch 16:9 monitors.

downsides I encountered:
-older games won't work without patches or workarounds, or won't work, at ultrawide resolutions. If you play alot of vintage games it's probably not worth the headaches.
-some hud elements are flung into distant corners, such as minimaps in RTS/MOBA type games, which is problematic
-Same with UI elements of some programs, like Pearson Vue testing worked horribly on an ultrawide

I think the only downside to this one is the HDMI 2.0 ports, since it only supports up to 100hz on a UWQHD display Frown
Would you have to use DisplayPort for 165Hz?

I have two of these from Costco and I'm very happy with them. I got one to replace a dying dell gsync 27" monitor. I was afraid of losing g sync and this version of freesync doesn't work with HDR… but it doesn't matter. The games I play run smooth and look great with my 3070 and HDR with gsync/freesync disabled. Mostly D4 but also played through Silent Hill 2 Remake and it looked great.

Also got one for our mac mini station. Again, looks great - sharp colors. No complaints from anyone.

Guys it's down to $155.99 now!!!

But seriously, do we know the vertical height of this screen? Last ultra wide I had was shorter than my other monitor which made the side by side awkward.

I currently have a Dell 32" G3223Q but I'm looking into ultrawides, would this be a downgrade?

Costco has the 31.5" for $169 as well, not a bad deal imo
I prefer 32 vs 34, just because I like to watch movies full screen and you'll get black bars on the left and right side of a 34" monitor. It's great for productivity and work though.

If you do a lot of screen sharing at work, then this is not for you. People will have a hard time looking at your screen. Because it will squeeze the ultra wide aspect ratio on their non ultra wide screen. So that is something to consider.

I have a 27, 32 and 34. I find 32 oddly big. 27 seems like the perfect size for most people.

According to the description it has 2x DisplayPort 1.4
"Connectivity is made easy with two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a 3.5mm audio output"

Does anyone who owns this knows if it can stand on its own when the stand is removed? Some monitors have curved edges that won't allow them to stand with the stand. Thanks in advance!

It's really not a big deal. Just switch to 2k or 1080p resolution before you jump on a Zoom call.
