I have the Streambar (a bit larger than this) and the Pro ( a LOT larger) and both have much better sound than TV's speakers. In fact, I travel with the smaller Streambar and hook it up to hotel tv's because I can barely hear dialogue on tinny, thin TV speakers. This is a decent deal on the SE version.

Would you recommend the se or the non-se version if it's just going to stay hooked up at home? The non-se version is going for the same price, but it's refurbished.
Edit: I misread your post, you don't have the se version of the streambar, is that right? I think I'll go with the refurbished non-se version. It's got more speakers inside it.

Always get the biggest soundbar for the job. More speakers mean you can drive it less loud to hear dialogue better. Just returned from a trip, used the non-SE soundbar on a huge TV and despite its smaller size, made viewing so much better, it's totally worth packing and hauling it around.

Thanks for the response. I actually ended up getting the SE version after all. The smaller size fits better under the monitor it's connected to. I'm happy with it so far.
