For anyone wondering, this package includes 1 year of service of unlimited talk/text and 24GB of data for the whole year. The phone automatically unlocks after 60 days of activation. You can text UNLOCK twice to 611611 and it will reply you with the exact date the phone will unlock.

You can bring your phone number during activation.

You can move the service to a different phone by purchasing a Tracfone SIM kit [bestbuy.com] after you activate the line.

Is this a better phone than my old Samsung A13 5G? The A13 is by far the toughest phone I have ever owned! I am mainly interested in the Data...is it 2 GB per month? or 24 GB for the year? Does the data carry over if not all is used? I have right now a lot of talk minutes and texts, and I am wondering what would happen to the carryover of those two items, after the year is up? Thanks for your help!

I have the A13 5G which I was using the previous year before getting this A15 5G. They both have the same amount of RAM(4GB) but the A15 has 128GB of storage as compared to 64GB in the A13. The A13 is slimmer and feels better in my hand whereas the A15 is a bit more "boxy". When I tried opening apps using both phones side by side, the A13 appeared a bit more responsive. It seemed a tad bit quicker for me. I haven't really compared the quality of the cameras side by side.

I thought that the airtime in a Tracfone was locked to the phone itself however according to a post above, I might be able to move the airtime to my old phone with a sim card. Can anyone verify this?

As far as the carry over time. When I activated the A15, my previous data carried over (so I actually had more than 24GB total). The minutes and text are unlimited on the new plan. I don't know what happens to the previous minutes and texts the you had on the old plan.

I was able to put the sim card into an unlocked android phone. You should be fine.

You'll get the previous minutes/texts back when the unlimited plan expires.

I noticed that the taxes are 12% despite I live in a state where taxes are 6%.
any one know whats up with that?
also, the pro code reduces that tax as well

a bit unusual.

It's not just sales tax - there's also cell phone service fees (for 911, etc).Some states have much higher rates than others, you can find your state's amount online.

Your state might charge electronic waste fee. California does.

Thanks for the guidance. Would you share if the a15 will be unlocked after moving service to new phone via sim kit? I was coming from other straighttalk thread that sd'er advise not to move service for phone activation & unlocking for a Moto phone
