I've seen this steadily drop in price over the the last few weeks. Looks like it's hit a new all time low. Use the standard HD process by adding the battery starter kit to get the $36.87 price to show in cart.

First time poster, so not sure how much I should or shouldn't add to this post.

Can you be more specific on the steps to get the $37 price? I see $50 but not familiar with the method you are referring to, to get a lower price? Thank you

Great little inflator. I use mine all the time. To get the discounted price you have to order with the battery kit. You can return the battery kit.

They mean the "hack". Search and you will find…

Add the " 18V MAX Output Starter Kit with (2) 4.0 Ah Batteries and Charger " to your order. Once you receive the order return the battery set back to Home Depot and keep the inflator. Homedepot will give you a partial refund making the inflator the cheaper price listed.

They mean "soft fraud", as you're returning an item to keep a package discount.
Fraud is fraud, and illegal. The HD hack is not, so y'all need to quit with it.

They do that because so many people are hacking these deals, Home Depot was losing a ton of money by paying to ship the product out and then having to Pay for shipping again when people returned them.

If anybody believes that HD is not aware of this hack, they're doing nothing but fooling themselves. This hack is been around for years, it's been used probably in 100,000's of times at least. HD does this because they know it drives sales.
In addition, I've seen hacks where the individual prices comes out more and when they sell the exact same kit that cannot be hacked.
They know exactly what they're doing, and they know exactly what their customers are doing. Ultimately the goal is either to have you keep both tools, or at least make a decent profit off one of them.
If you look at the cost of Chinese made tools on Amazon versus what you can get them at HD, you get an idea of how much profit is in these tools. HD does not have a $404 billion market value because they're losing money by selling these tools that loose money when somebody does the hack. It's simply a sales strategy, and it's a strategy that works very well. If they were actually losing money on this, they would have shut this down years ago.

If HD wanted, they could configure their system to prevent this "Hack".
Like when you return the items it would jack up the price of the item you kept, but they don't, yet..

$42.27 here but pretty close on price. These deals usually stack with any % off coupons you get for using the HD card, so could potentially get it lower.

Sales strategy: loss leader… retailers do it all the time. Additionally, getting a good deal on an item can persuade individuals to have a positive attitude towards the company & return for other non sale things. A company that large certainly is aware of what they are doing….

Just wanted to add that I own this and it's a great inflator. The chuck can be a bit too fiddily, vs the standard Schrader valve chuck - but once you get used to it, you don't hate it. I do love the big digital readout and the wheel to set the PSI pressure goal - but it is loud, just FYI. I usually set it and walk away until it's done its business.
