Tough choice.

My young kids 6 and under have been given the first gen ipad air 2013 lying around at home, on and off during flights and restaurant visits to buy peace this year. We are starting screen time officially this way. Do you think there's any merit to 'upgrade' and buy this one for 250$? The 10 yr old iPad we have works fine for youtube, basic kiddie apps, etc. Every now and then, the app pr app update won't work because the software is too old. But it serves the purpose for now. We also tried the Amazon Fire tablet. It is the worst. Too many restrictions and slow processing. it is lying unused.

For anyone who wants to do more than just email and web surfing I think the answer is no. My 9th gen iPads with 64 gigs are at 80-90% capacity all the time. But I have a business and use at least a dozen different apps. I'm seeking a deal on iPad with more storage.

Yes, though I'd say 64GB is as low as you should go. I had a 32GB one and that was definitely not enough. But 64GB should give you a bit more breathing room for SOME game installs, etc.
