YMMV but I was able to chat with a Target rep online and got them to price match this for me. Purchase at their price of $39.99+tax and then the agent refunded the $10+tax right after I placed the order. Again YMMV but I've had luck with this in the past on multiple Lego sets with Target.

Thank you for suggesting this. I just tried and the agent told me they only price match with Amazon and Walmart. It was worth a shot!

Could always give another go. I had them tell me the same and then right after tell me they'd help with an exception to this. Again, ymmv, but worth a few minutes.

I was also able to price match when chatting with the Target agent. They said they would only price match against Walmart and Amazon, but they made me an exception and refunded me $10.

Mine comes out to $37 after tax. It's been $39 ($41 after tax) on Amazon for a while, so for ease of returns it might be worth the extra $4 from Amazon?

Had to try the Target chat. Only got them to do $5 off, but, with circle, only made it a few bucks more. The whole time I was browsing for a worthwhile filler- finally found a hacky sack. But I would never use it either. Went with target and the lost time. Christmas gift for the fiancee!

I wasn't thrilled looking at reviews of the Christianbook site, but appreciated comments suggesting price match attempt with Target. They initially said no but with very polite persistence they offered $5 and then finally a $10 "courtesy" discount which matched the $29.99 price . Thanks for the help.
