That's what the description says. I wonder if this applies to 2k...

I have this and this is correct. At 4k it is 30hz. It does support 60hz at 1440p (2k)

I'm looking for a usb-c to hdmi adaptor to use with the base mac mini m4. The one in this thread is $11 4k 30hz, this one $14 www.amazon.com/ UGREEN-Revodok-Delivery-MacBook-Thinkpad/ dp/ B0D1XLNWP2 is 4k 60hz.
Is there any visual difference between 30hz and 60 hz if I don't game?

Be forewarned that the "5 in 1" adapter has NO USB-C data transfer capability. The USB-C port on that adapter is for power-in only.

When I bought my Mac mini a few weeks ago I was annoyed because the adapter that I was using could only get 30. It wasn't noticeable until I watched videos - then it was slightly noticeable. I ended up purchasing a display port to HDMI adapter that got me to 60.

Yes. Screen scrolling and mouse movement feels slow and less responsive. If that doesn't bother you it may be ok. I cannot stand it.

I've bought a few UGREEN hubs from SD a few times and ended up returning all of them. The connections were loose and would only recognize inputs when held at a certain angle. Save your time and money.

Note that the HDMI port on these will most likely not support ddc/ci, so if you use any software that controls your monitor, it will not work. I bought the 6 in 1 model and had to return it for that reason. Many straight usb-c to HDMI adapters will support ddc/ci, however.

Ah, great to know that. I didn't know that we could control the brightness of an external monitor with software until I accidentally click on an icon in the system tray in KDE Plasma 6 (it allows us to control the brightness of the built-in/external screens and the keyboard light).

How do we know which HDMI ports support ddc/ci.

Most adapters don't list it in the specs, so I don't know of any way to tell other than testing them. Here is an adapter that I tested and confirmed to support DDC/CI: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...asin_title

On Macs it's usually best to use USB-C to DisplayPort. I've been using a DP1.4 Cable Matters 201046 (8K @60hz or 4K @240hz). You can sometimes find it on sale for ~$10.

Thanks for this. Hard to not have DDC/CI.

This one is way better for just a couple bucks more. 10GBps on all ports vs having just 1 5 GBps USB 3 port.

Does the USB3.2 port drive monitors with a USB-C input?
